WonderMix Slicer Shredder

The WonderMix Slicer Shredder attaches to the WonderMix stand mixer and comes with three stainless steel drums:

Universal Drum - Finely grates hard cheese, thin string softer cheese, nuts, hard vegetables such as carrots, and hard fruit such as apples.
Slicing Drum - Slices cabbage for cole slaw or kraut. Cuts even slices for dehydrating foods. Slices cucumber, carrots, onions for salads and potatoes for fried chips, scalloped potatoes.
Coarse Drum - Julienne vegetables for soups, stews, cheese for tacos, salads, toppings, hard fruits such as apples and pears. These drums interchange in seconds and cleanup is a breeze.

Motor base is not included.

This slicer shredder also fits the Family Grain Mill hand base, Family Grain Mill motor base, and with available adapters will fit the Bosch Universal, Bosch Compact, Bosch Styline, KitchenAid, Ankarsum/Electrolux and Viking.

WonderMix is truly a wonder

I simply couldn't be happier with my purchase of the shredder/mixer attachment for, in my case, the WonderMix, though this attachment obviously works with other drives.

The shredder/mixer makes prep for our little cafe a breeze! We offer a lot of salads and dishes with cheeses, and this little piece of equipment cuts down our preparation time exponentially. Whether slicing or julienning vegetables, or shredding cheese for melts, this machine is consistent, fast, easy to use, and just as easy to clean up. Thanks for a wonderful product! With every penny.

Worth the wait for effortless vegetable slicing

I've had my Family Grain Mill for at least a decade. I bought it with the hand crank mostly to have a manual mill on hand with our food storage. For everyday use, I mostly just ground small quantities of grain in my Vitamix blender (or tiny amounts in a coffee grinder! )

Fast forward to 2020 and the pandemic. We cracked open some of our aging six month supply of staples to avoid going to the grocery store very often. I've also developed autoimmune arthritis. My kids could crank the manual mill, but I really could not.

Pleasant Hill Grain to the rescue! I was able to order the KitchenAid attachment for my FGM head, and I also ordered this Vegetable "Processor Head. " I love it so much! Even with arthritis in my hands, I can attach and detach all the parts and inter-change the slicer/shredder drums. Letting my KitchenAid provide the turning power means sparing myself pain while prepping vegetables, especially tough ones like potatoes. I am delighted by its ease of use and the fact that it is DISHWASHER SAFE. (I hate hand washing, yet I hardly mind cleaning pieces of the Processor Head by hand as it is so easy. )

I never wanted a big food processor taking up a lot of counter space, but adding this to my mixer doesn't eat up any extra precious room at all. I really hope my family gets me the extra three drums for the holidays. I'd like the fine shredder for chopping nuts and chocolate!

So far, I have used the shredder/mixer attachment on my WondeMix to grate cheese and shred cabbage. It's so easy to set up and use, takes far less space to store than my food processor, and easily detaches to clean. I did have a little trouble getting the medium cheddar out of the grater barrel. Looking forward to using for many foods as summer brings all the wonderful fresh garden veggies and fruits. Thank you so much!
