The original-style Family Grain Mill motor base has been discontinued by the U.S. importer. However, the WonderMix Revolution Mixer is available, and is actually a superior alternative because it has more power and a lower price than the old motor base had. FGM components fit onto the WonderMix in exactly the same way as they did on the old motor base.

The Family Grain Mill motor base is free-standing in use. It's rated at 150 watts. It turns at a loaded speed of 120 RPM, and runs quietly.

This flaker is amazing. With the adapter for my Bosch Universal it ran smoothly and turned out oat groats crushed to resemble oatmeal but unlike store bought oatmeal these are fresh and bursting with nutrients.

Love the Grain Mill

This compact motor is lightweight and easy to grab off the shelf to attach any of the great attachments available for this unit. I use it daily to grate cheese or vegetables, grind wheat. I can grind meat and flake oats with other attachments as well.

Works great milling wheat faster than other mills

This is a very good machine and is great for a home use mill. We mill quite a bit of flour during the summer for sale at farmers markets so we use it constantly. For the high end use that we put it through it lasted about 4 years but for smaller qty's than us it should last the general home user longer.

I'm very happy with my purchase. We buy Saskatchewan (Canada) grown oat groats and use the motor base together with the flaker head to flake the oats which we eat for breakfast every morning. The oats are delicious —so much better than the oats you purchase from the grocery store. The machine works quickly and the oats are rolled in a very short time. I usually roll enough to last two weeks so the oatmeal is always fresh.
