Tabletop Fruit Press 1.25 Gallon
Excellent for apples or grapes, this extremely well-built 1.25 gallon press is great for smaller production quantities. The press includes an anti-rotation plate that can be screwed to your choice of surfaces; one handy approach is to screw the plate to a small sheet of plywood which can then easily be clamped to your table or other support. After the anti-rotation plate is fastened down, the main press assembly can be lifted out and replaced in a moment. After a pressing cycle, the stainless side rods flex apart at top to allow the assembly of screw yoke, forcing screw and pressing plate to be lifted out for removal of the spent apple pomace.
“I work with solid equipment in the oilfield and this press fits in that category. Impressive quality, solid build!”
– Patrick F., MS
The tabletop press is also perfect for making nut milk including almond milk, soy milk, rice milk and coconut milk, as well as squeezing honey from the comb.
The pressing basket measures 5-3/4" x 11-1/8" high and is constructed of heavy gauge (.035") polished stainless steel. The pressing plate is also stainless steel and it measures 5.5" diameter. The juice tray and the anti-rotation plate are made of heavy duty, food grade plastic. Overall height of the press with the pressing screw turned down is 15", and the base plate measures 7-3/4" x 7-3/4". Handle length is 9-3/4".
The press includes a fine-mesh, food-grade nylon pressing bag that contains mash even under very high pressure. A 5/8" x 9-1/2" drain tube attaches to the drain spout of the juice tray. A plastic sleeve is included, to be slipped over the outside of the pressing basket, for some foods that may otherwise squirt juice during pressing.
If you ever want to press only a very small quantity of your product at a time, you can do that with this press because when fully turned down, the pressing plate reaches all the way to the pan, leaving zero gap.
It's important to keep the forcing screw well lubricated with food safe grease; this greatly reduces wear and turning effort, and dramatically increases maximum pressure and juice yield.

By Patrick F. in MS on 4/11/2016 - Verified BuyerI work with solid equipment in the oilfield and this press fits in that category. Impressive quality, solid build! We even used it with the straining bags to press out our home made hot sauce that was in an oak barrel for three years! Worked perfect!

By ARG in CA on 6/3/2016 - Verified BuyerI have a Breville Citrus Press that makes a half gallon of orange juice per use. Unfortunately, it does not extract every drop of juice from the orange pulp. While manually squeezing the pulp in cheesecloth is effective, it's also incredibly messy. This tabletop press tidily and efficiently removes over a cup of delicious juice from pulp that would otherwise be discarded. Great product, much easier to use and clean than cheesecloth!5 out of 5 people found this review helpful. Did you?
By Kathy P. in OR on 4/12/2016 - Verified BuyerI used it many times over the harvest season & was so grateful for the quality & ease of use. It was a Godsend for making my elderberry syrup! Thank you!5 out of 5 people found this review helpful. Did you?
By Herrick D., UT on 12/27/2016 - Verified BuyerWe live on 1/2 acre and half of that is garden and half of that is in berries. We juice them in a steam juicer then have run the pulp through a Vittoro type juicer to get that last little bit. The problem is that the raspberry related seeds quickly plug up the juicer and we were always having to disassemble and clean the juicer. Then I remembered how my parents used to juice our grapes--in a press. I went on-line and found the ideal press, a smaller tabletop stainless steel press on Pleasant Hill Grain's website. They broke a few of their own rules, got the unit out the same day and step two of the very next juicing was a breeze which took less than 1/4 of the previous time and much much less of the energy. Pleasant Hill WAS very pleasant and now my wife thinks I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread. Who am I to argue? Thanks Pleasant Hill Grain!3 out of 3 people found this review helpful. Did you?
