Petrol-Gel Food Grade Grease, 4 oz.

Petrol-Gel is the purest of lubricants, made with an odorless, tasteless, high viscosity index paraffinic base oil. Compounded with food grade additives, its high cling factor keeps it on the surfaces where it's needed to reduce friction and guard against wear and corrosion. Petrol-Gel is approved by USDA as a lubricant for use where there is incidental contact with food.

Petrol-Gel is ideal for forcing screws on fruit presses and sausage stuffers, metal and synthetic gears, axles, valves, pistons, O-rings, guides, slide mechanisms, and many other applications in home, commercial and industrial environments.

If you're purchasing Petrol-Gel for a full-size fruit press, we recommend starting with two (2) four-ounce tubes (one tube for a tabletop press) and be sure to lube the pressing-plate socket as well as all surfaces of the forcing-screw threads.

Although Petrol-Gel is nominally referred to as "white grease" (and is even labeled as white on the tube) it is actually clear.

I forgot to apply to my fruit press screw once and wondered why it was so hard to turn. I won't use again without greasing up.
