The bag's fine mesh does a great job containing fruit pulp and makes what might otherwise be a very messy job a tidy one. Would give it 5 stars but I did find the bag hard to clean, as fine bits of pulp and fruit skin were stuck in the weave. But it is sturdy and does come clean with a bit of effort.
I got your cider press. We make something called Grandma's Penicillin which involves simmering veggies in chicken broth. We used cheesecloth to extract the juices from the cooked veggies, but it was so hard and so hot I searched for an alternative and found the press... I love it!
These are excellent bags and don't wear out easily. Your service department personally called me to verify I had the right bag for the right press. This is service nearly unheard of in today's business world. You are a joy to deal with.
I got these for my son who works doing dim sum at a restaurant. They use the table top fruit press to get liquid out of the cabbage used. The machine is also used for cider and other uses, so we needed to get additional bags, one for each designated use. They are wonderful, and very helpful in a busy kitchen.
We were very pleased. We made cider and was very happy with the results.
Just needed a replacement bag for our fruit press we purchased for the restaurant 2 years ago. It took a while to burn through that first bag, hope this one lasts just as long! !
I was very pleased with the bag. It fit well in the Tabletop fruit press. I made apple juice with the kids. The bag kept the mash inside the press, seemed pretty sturdy, and was easy to clean afterwards.
I have been pressing fruit for the 12 years and just started using the 1.25 Table Top Fruit Press with Mesh Press bags. I'm very pleased so far with the press and mesh press bags.
This filter seems to be the perfect porosity for nut milk. Nicer than using disposable filters. It's easy to clean by just turning inside out and washing off. It seems quite tough as well though I have not used it for a long time yet.
Okay, I haven't tried every bag but I don't see any way to improve this one, so I don't think "the best" is going very far out on the limb. Same for the tabletop fruit press too, btw. Kudos to PHG all the way around!
