Note: L’Chef is considering updating the design of the mount for this bowl, to make it lock onto the base of the Universal Plus mixer. (Previously it mounted to the mixer, but did not lock on.) The older style SB4 with the non-locking mount is now out of stock. There is no ETA for the updated SB4 bowl so at this time we are not accepting preorders. You can also consider the Bosch-manufactured ER2 stainless bowl.

The Stainless Steel Bowl (MUZ6SB4) for the Bosch Universal Plus mixer has a polypropylene center drive shaft column, enabling the Universal's standard wire whisks and BreadMaster dough hook (as well as the accessory cookie paddles) to be used in it. This bowl is sold without dough hook, whip drive or whisks, and those pieces from the Universal mixer's standard plastic bowl (new or older models) fit onto this bowl.

The drive shaft of this stainless bowl detaches in seconds from below for quick, easy cleanup.

Capacity is 5.5 quarts (approx. 12.5 lbs. of dough).

The accessory bowl scraper should not be used with this bowl because the fit of the scrapers is too tight and could lead to excessive loading on the motor and transmission.

This stainless bowl is very sturdy and easy to clean. I like the quick and easy release feature for the center column. Makes it easier to clean than the older style plastic bowls. It's worth the extra to upgrade.

My Bosch is about 20 years old and I prefer this style to the new one. I am very excited to use this bowl along with the paddles and whips I purchased. So much easier to use than the other stainless steel bowl I have. It was definitely worth buying it. I love my Bosch and all of the accessories.

I have an older Bosch mixer that still works great and needed to know if this bowl would fit on my Bosch. I got an immediate response from them and my purchase was made in a very timely manner. I live in Canada and they helped me with making the purchase. One thing that would make things easier for Canadians is if the payment was set up to include Canadian purchases.
