Powerful mixer and food processor

I've had the Bosch Universal plus for 10 years and love how powerful the machine is. I've used it for big batches of dough and tough to grate lemongrass, etc. The service from Pleasant Hill is outstanding. The reason for the 4-star rating instead of 5 is that this is the 3rd replacement for the holder in the food processor I have to order. The plastic holder should have been made of metal as it couldn’t grate Parmigiano Reggiano cheese and palm sugar without breaking. Otherwise the machine is very powerful.

We love our Bosch food processor attachment, but this is our third drive disc in probably 5 or so years. It's a good design, but it seems like the drive disc is the weak link in the whole food processor. The frustrating part is we've had it break when doing the same task we've done before, such as grating cheese. My opinion is that they weaken over time and eventually break. Still pleased with the Bosch food processor over all and would buy it again, however be prepared to replace a few drive discs. Excellent service from Pleasant Hill Grain! Correct product was shipped quickly!

Why plastic?

we just bought a second one as we thought we used to much pressure when grating old bread. Not even 30 seconds and it was broke too! Very dissapointing to say at least, particularly as the rest is really working great. Any solution for grating old bread?

Frustrated

On such a well made product, you would think that this could be made with a stronger product. Also, I found that it is not being made anymore! If this is true, why? Is the mixer not being made? It concerns me since this is a pricey machine and should last for many years to come.

I have worn out two of these! It is so fantastic to use my Bosch universal and the attachments I have, This last one broke because I dropped a wedge of Parmesan cheese into the machine before I added the blade! My bad.
