I have replaced this piece three times on two different Bosch bowls, and I need to replace it again. If there's something that will break on a Bosch, this is it. I've had the plastic part crack so that it won't hold the bowl in place. Most recently the plastic melted so that the part that meshes with the motor doesn't hold well. I guess that's my fault for using an older wheat grinder attachment. This part couldn't take the heat that the motor produced running the grinder. My biggest pet peeve about this part is that I can't just buy the little plastic part that attaches to the metal shaft. Possibly the plastic is the most expensive part to produce, but it still seems wasteful to chuck the metal shaft. It has never broken on me. I saved them for awhile, but since I can't buy the plastic piece on it's own that seems pointless.
I was disappointed to receive the shaft without screws. Had to order 6 screws for 6 dollars. GEEZE. Really? Not happy.
The part worked perfectly and I was back to mixing in about 30 seconds! The base where the bowl sits on was a little rusty, so I used Barkeeper's Friend to scrub that out.
I broke my other bowl for my Bosch and not realizing that I could take out the drive shaft and order the bowl I threw away the whole thing. So glad that I was able to buy both the bowl and the drive shaft and I am very excited to be using my Bosch again. It fit right in to my base and I am glad that I can use it again!! Thanks Pleasant Hill Grain!!
First time I had to replace this part on a Bosch Mixer we have had 15 years. Part worked perfectly and we are extremely happy to repair our favorite kitchen appliance. We use it mainly for bread making
At first when I got it, I didn't think the base of the drive shaft was shaped properly to fit my mixer, because it didn't go all the way in to the slot on the base, and it was shaped differently than the old drive shaft. Then I discovered that the slot in my mixer's drive had a crud buildup in it. Once I cleaned it out, it fit perfectly, and this old mixer is chugging away like it's got another 20 years of life! It's a quality product that is tough to find parts for, and Pleasant Hill Grain met the need.
Really like this company! Great selection and customer service.
Glad I found them
Part arrived very quickly and it is a quality replacement part that will help my mixer last another 30 years.
I easily replaced the drive shaft in my old Bosch mixing bowl. I've made several purchases from PHG in the past and have always been pleased.
Not knowing I needed to save he drive shaft from my old mixing bowl, I tossed the whole thing. I soon discovered that I need o remove and save the old drive shaft. To make a long story short I had to order a new one. The lady at Pleasant Hill Gain was very helpful and so I ordered the drive shaft and the screws necessary to put it in. It came a day earlier than expected. It was easy for me to install and worked great for making my next 12 loaves of bread. Very happy camper.
