Bosch Slicer Shredder Bowl and Drive Parts

Image shows detail of the metal stabilizing pin (long fluted metal part) and the plastic bushing cap (upper part, dark gray) as they are mounted in the lid of the Universal Slicer Shredder. Replacement lids include the plastic bushing cap but not the metal stabilizing pin. You can re-use your stabilizing pin if it's in good condition or you can purchase a new stabilizing pin with cap (see above.)

4. Coarse Rasp/Snowing Disk (Univ. or Concept SliShr): (Discontinued by Bosch.)

Works great for snowing ice.

5. Julienne Disk (Univ. or Concept SliShr): (Discontinued by Bosch.)

Cuts long, thin "square" strips.

6. Fine Grating Disk (Univ. or Concept SliShr): Click for product.

Note: Before ordering disks, be certain whether you have the "Slicer Shredder" attachment or the "Food Processor" attachment. The "Slicer Shredder" mounts on the low-speed drive shaft of the Universal mixer (the same drive that the large dough-mixing bowl fits onto.) The "Food Processor" mounts on the high-speed drive shaft of the Universal (the same place where the blender fits onto.) Disks shown here are for the "Slicer Shredder" only.

The Bosch Whisk Assembly allows you to do whipping in your Universal Slicer Shredder bowl. It's very handy for smaller amounts or when you're using your large bowl for other jobs.

Removing the Drive Shaft from your Slicer Shredder

The image above shows the top of the center column of the Universal mixer's Slicer Shredder attachment. It illustrates how the Drive Piece can be removed from the top of the Drive Shaft. The Drive Piece is shown lying on its side on top of the Drive Shaft and the Fixed Gear. In this photo, only the threaded top end of the Drive Shaft is visible. The Drive Piece can be removed by holding the lower, flattened end of the Drive Shaft (under the bowl) with a wrench so it can't turn, and then turning the Drive Piece counter-clockwise. It may come loose by hand turning. If you need to use a pliers on the Drive Piece and if you plan to reuse it, it must be protected from plier jaws to prevent damage. Wrapping it with a piece of leather or dense cardboard will work. It may appear that the Drive Shaft could be removed by removing the CirClip from the bottom end of the Drive Shaft. This cannot be done, however, because the flattened end of the Drive Shaft is wider than its shank, preventing it from passing upward through the stainless steel Washer.
