Note: Due to the steep price increase we've incurred for Bosch replacement parts, we recommend that you order a whole new MX3 blender instead of replacing the metal blade assembly.

Friendly helpful knowledgeable phone calls

A part of the blade assembly of my 30 year old blender broke. The customer service representative was so friendly and helpful. She worked with me to determine the right part to replace it. She also suggested a dough guide to prevent bread dough from going down the hub of the mixing bowl. A great little gadget! When the blade assembly arrived it looked different from the original; I tried to fit it onto my Universal Kitchen Machine, wasn't able to attach it, so I called to see if there was another option, though I doubted it. The woman I spoke with was again helpful and knowledgeable. She guided me through trying again and it fit. I am so glad for her help and that I have the use of my blender now. I am grateful that Bosch and Pleasant Hill Grain provide parts for these old, durable kitchen workhorses! And with friendly service.

Locked up and won't turn

Our original Bosch blender blades lasted over 20 years before the blades finally broke. This blade assembly locked up after about 8 months with absolutely no signs of wear on the blades or anywhere else. It still turns with great difficulty but is completely unusable now. Spent $54 for the part and it only lasted 8 months! Not worth it. It almost burned out our universal machine motor. (thank goodness for the breaker switch on the machine! )

Moderator : Failure of the blender blade assembly, as you describe, and after such a short time, is something we haven't heard of (other than a brief period several years ago when the blade assembly had a different construction that didn't work out). The part is under warranty though, and we're arranging to get a new one to you immediately!

Very tight fit

The previous blade assembly failed after a number of years. This blade assembly is metal rather than the plastic that was in the old blade assembly. It is a slightly different screw design, with a different washer seal. I was concerned that it might not fit the MX2 carafe that we have, but was told to expect it to be a very tight fit, and that they anticipate it will NOT be disassembled for cleaning. When I ordered the part, I had also ordered the wrench. Because of the tight fit, using the wrench will simplify the assembly.

Stainless steel is the best

I had to replace the blades of my blender a couple of years ago. The replacement part I received (not from Pleasant Hill! ) had a plastic base--it didn't take long before the blades wouldn't turn and eventually the entire assembly bent. I'm thrilled to have a useable Bosch blender again!
