Skeppshult Japanese Omelette Pan, 7 x 9 inch
Elevate your breakfast game with the handcrafted cast iron Tamagoyaki pan, expertly designed for making authentic Japanese rolled omelettes as well as French omelettes, fried eggs, toast, grilled cheese and more. Crafted in Sweden with the legendary quality of Skeppshult cookware, this rectangular egg pan combines traditional Scandinavian craftsmanship with Japanese cooking precision to deliver exceptional heat retention, even cooking, and lifelong performance. This pan is ideal for home chefs and culinary enthusiasts.
Tamagoyaki is a Japanese rolled omelet made by cooking thin layers of seasoned beaten eggs and rolling
them together, traditionally in a rectangular tamagoyaki pan. Commonly found in bento boxes and served
with sushi, it’s typically flavored with sugar, soy sauce, and mirin, and sometimes dashi for a more
savory version known as dashimaki tamago. The eggs are poured in thin layers, rolled as they set, and
layered repeatedly until a thick log forms, which is then sliced into bite-sized pieces.
Skeppshult's factory operates the only remaining foundry in Scandinavia making household products in cast iron. Many phases in the manufacturing are still pure hand craftsmanship and dependent upon great professional skill. Undergoing an average of ten quality control inspections before completion, your Skeppshult cookware will withstand year after year of heavy use, metal utensils and high heat. Skeppshult pans are nearly impossible to wear out! Skeppshult products have an exceptionally long life span, which explains their 25 year cast iron warranty.
Natural and environmentally friendly, Skeppshult cookware is made without harmful chemicals and requires little maintenance. Skeppshult cast iron fry pans are PFOA-free, PTFE-free and cadmium-free.
The bottom of each Skeppshult skillet has a slightly concave shape which adds stability to stovetop
use and minimizes the risk of injury.
Carl E. Andersson established his foundry on the shores of the Nissan river in 1906. Much has happened
since then, but Skeppshult's commitment to fine craftsmanship remains strong. In an age of mass-produced
mediocrity, a Skeppshult pan is a connection to a timeless standard of excellence. A Skeppshult pan is
both tool and inspiration, an investment you'll never regret.

Use & Care
All Skeppshult cookware comes pre-seasoned with baked-on organic canola oil, so after a quick rinse under the tap and careful drying, it's ready to use.
Use cooking oil, butter or margarine when frying/browning.
Clean your cookware as soon as possible after using it and don't let it soak in water. To clean the cookware, use only warm water and a sturdy dish brush, when possible. If soap is needed, we recommend using a mild dish soap. Cast iron products should NOT be washed in the dishwasher.
To release stuck-on food that's difficult to scrub out with just a brush, try rubbing coarse salt and water over the area, or boiling water in the pan.
After cleaning, thoroughly dry the cast iron with a towel. The pan can also be warmed on the stovetop for 1-2 minutes to make sure it's thoroughly dry. Rub a light coat of natural food-safe oil on the cast iron with a lint-free cloth, wipe out any excess oil, then store in a dry place.
Minor variations in surface texture are a hallmark of a hand-crafted product such as Skeppshult cast iron cookware, and spots or color variations on cookware bases are normal and will fade with use (click here to see example).
