PF-2 Filters for Berkey, Pair
These screw onto the underside of the Black Berkey® elements and Phoenix Gravity New Millennium Edition™ filter elements, inside the fresh water tank, and reduce fluoride and arsenic. The pair together will typically treat 1000 gallons of water. (Note: These do not fit onto the white ceramic elements, and they also cannot be used with the "Go Berkey" system.)
The Berkey PF-2™ Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Elements adsorb the following unwanted elements found in drinking water:
- Fluoride: Sodium Fluoride, Sodium Fluorosilicate, Fluorosilicic Acid (aka Hydrofluorosilic Acid)
- Arsenic: V and pre-oxidized Arsenic III
- Other residual heavy metal ions
PF-2 filters are made from safe, non-leaching Polypropolene #5 that is BPA-free.
Do PF-2 Filters for the Berkey® System leach aluminum into the water that it's supposed to be treating? The answer is “No” and you can read the explanation here.

This adapter threads securely onto the end of a Berkey PF-2® Fluoride & Arsenic Reduction Element, then pressure-fits into both PrimeEasy™ and PrimeRite™ filter primers. This connection allows you to prime your PF-2® filter quickly and effectively using standard faucet water pressure, ensuring proper filter preparation with less effort.

I have been using my Berkey water filter for several weeks now and love it. It is so simple. The people at Pleasant Hill Grain are wonderful to work with and make you feel like they have all the time in the world just for you.
We use a Crown Berkey and have hard water due to mineral deposits. When using all 8 black elements and 8 PF-2 filters there is no mineral residue which extends the life of your appliances and enhances the taste of the water. The Crown is suggested for large families, but we are a household of 2 adults and 2 dogs and the Crown is perfect for our water usage. I would also like to give kudos to Misty and the Team at PHG, unlike some other authorized dealers, PHG reflects the "quality" of the Berkey product line. Our household will only purchase Berkey products from PHG. Thank you, Misty and the Team at PHG!
I have had a Berkey Water Filtering System for several years now. I have ordered replacement parts and have always received them promptly and in great condition. Recently we have started using the white filters to remove heavy metals, etc. from our water. The water tastes better than ever! Thank you Berkey and Pleasant Hill Grain: ) !
These filters have to be replaced more often than the charcoal filters on the top of the Berkey. We ordered them, took off the old ones, primed the new ones, and screwed them in. Super easy way to keep drinking pure water!
We have used Berkey PF-2 fluoride filters for years. Together with the black carbon filters, they have contributed to improving gut health issues caused by fluoride and chloramines in the municipal water supply. Highly recommend both.

Love, love, love, my Berkey Water filter. Water tastes great and I can drink it knowing all the harmful stuff in tap water is filtered out. My grandchildren’s fish do not die when their tank water is replaced with the Berkey filtered water. I use the black and white filter cartridges. It is important to me that I am no longer contributing to the plastic bottle accumulation. Pleasant Hill Grain is a wonderful business and provides amazing customer service.
Easy to order on line. Price was better than many other sites. Packaging appropriate. Used them years and would again.
