The stainless steel base (or stand) for Berkey water purifiers is designed to allow your drinking glass to slide under the water purifier spigot. Rubberized feet add stability and protect your countertop. Each stand raises the Berkey purifier up 6 inches.

I really love the base we recently ordered!! It takes up WAY less counter space than the make-shift metal stand I found years ago at a chain store. A must to use away from counter's edge

I bought this to make using our Big Berkey easier. While it is easy enough to use, one cannot rest a glass on the counter while using the spigot. This makes it easier - especially for my kids - to rest a glass underneath and for me to be able to keep the unit a little further back on the counter.

The one *teensy* drawback is that it raises the unit enough that I have to reach way up to refill it. A stepstool solves that problem handily and it's not a big enough deal to deduct a star.
