Whether you have a few apple trees or a larger orchard or vineyard, the Maximizer® apple cider press provides the top quality construction and superior design features you need. To call the construction of the Maximizer fruit press stout would be an understatement... this is the Sherman Tank of fruit presses. Its frame has the strength to withstand tremendous pressure, and the acme-threaded forcing screw and solid ratchet mechanism make it easy to create that pressure. (The forcing screw is 1" diameter on the 5.3 gallon model & 1-1/4" diameter for the 9.5 gallon model.) With a Maximizer cider press you can quickly and easily develop pressures that will send other presses to the scrap heap. Higher pressure = higher juice yields and more production in less time.
Fast tip-off design
With the pull of a single pin, the upper yoke of the Maximizer press tips fully out of your way for full basket loading-and-unloading access. The speed and convenience of this design makes the pressing operation fast and easy.

Best materials
A frame made of 3/16" wall thickness steel tubing combines with a stainless steel pressing basket and stainless steel pan to make the Maximizer a cider press you'll enjoy using for many years. The Maximizer presses arrive in two shipping boxes and require assembly.
GSAM feature
The Maximizer-GSAM fruit press features an integrated Grinder Swing Arm Mount (GSAM) that allows you to mount an optional apple grinder right on your press for maximum convenience and productivity. The GSAM provides you with a secure mount for the optional apple grinder. It puts the grinder just where you need it to rapidly pulverize apples for full juice extraction, and then just as easily it swings your grinder out of the way for pressing.
New Fast Retract feature
The Maximizer presses now feature a very handy Fast Retract handle socket. After the juice has been squeezed from a batch of fruit and the forcing screw has been ratcheted backward a few strokes to relieve pressure, remove the ratchet handle from its horizontal socket and drop it into the adjacent vertical socket. This Fast Retract feature lets you spin the forcing screw and pressing plate quickly back up to the top of the basket.
Important notes: When used with the optional grinder in place, the base of the Maximizer-GSAM press must be secured to prevent tipping. You can do this by bolting the legs (using holes provided in the feet) to a base such as a wood deck or concrete pad. Another option is to bolt the feet to a 4' x 4' sheet of plywood, 1/2" thick or more (plywood not included.) In the accompanying images, the press is not mounted in the manner required for operation. Proper secure mounting of the press legs prevents tipping and also optimizes operation of both the press and the grinder.

We recommend ordering one or more accessory mesh basket-liner bags to use with the press.
The top U.S. fruit-pressing states are Washington, California, Oregon, Idaho, Texas, Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Ohio, Missouri, Illinois, Iowa and Colorado… We ship apple cider presses free to the 48-contiguous U.S. states!
Lubricating the Acme Screw
It's important to keep the acme forcing screw well lubricated with food safe grease; this greatly reduces wear and turning effort, and dramatically increases maximum pressure and juice yield.

I had the best of hopes considering the price of this press. It isn't cheap, but I'm very happy I decided to make the investment. (Actually, I saw some rough looking used stuff on Craigslist for pretty much the same price or more, so the Pleasant Hill price might actually be good.) It's really sturdy and the workmanship is excellent. I had never operated a press before, but it seems to function perfectly and I made some killer cider. Now that the press is confirmed, I plan to buy the GSAM, apple grinder and hopper extension to complete my system. The grinder and these additional components are nicely engineered to mount and function together, so I expect setup for my next pressing to be a breeze. Have fun and press on!
The Maximizer is a quality press and an excellent value, and customer service was excellent as well.
I've received my fruit press and found it to be well made and really much more than I expected. This is a top of the line press that will give me many years of service, and the help and courtesy demonstrated by your people were greatly appreciated.
Press is high quality and much sturdier/nicer than the ubiquitous wood presses popular here in the Pacific Northwest. If you want to get a decent quantity of cider the grinder is not optional; we could not get any cider to come out of a load of quartered apples but managed over a half gallon from the same apples after grinding them. The only other issue is the press tends to move when applying force to the crank arm. You really need to anchor the press to a piece of wood to prevent it from moving, which diminishes the gorgeous appearance of the press. Overall, even with the added cost of the grinder, this press is cheaper than used wood press for sale locally on craigslist, looks better, and works well.
We purchased the Maximizer and enjoyed fantastic cider from the very first pressing. This is a heavy duty press that should last us a lifetime. We also purchased with this the mesh bags, hopper extension, apple grinder, GSAM and food grease. All items arrived on-time and together. It took about 30 minutes to put together. I mounted the press to a 2' x 4'sheet of 3/4 plywood with wheels that lock for ease of storage. We halved or quartered the apples and dropped them in the hopper. Clean up was easy, a quick spray down with the hose. This week we tasted our first hard cider, it was fantastic. We produced thirty-five gallons from our small orchard using the Maximizer and thoroughly enjoyed the experience with friends and family!
Well made product and works great for our small apple orchard!
The press is very well built, performed very well, and the drip tray and spout design made it easy to keep spillage to a minimum. And I have to say I've never seen such care in packaging parts for shipping... really outstanding job!
I've used the Maximizer grinder and press on two separate occasions now. Once with ten people helping and once by myself. The group was very taken with the system and had a great time being involved. This morning I pressed about 45 lbs. of well ripened Gravensteins. The yield was about 9 quarts of juice. This seems to meet the sellers claims of a couple gallons per bushel. The grinder makes a somewhat coarser mash than I had hoped, but this may be offset by the extreme pressure the press provides. It was relaxing and easy to operate the system by myself. A Monday morning online order had it in my hands by Frday. afternoon here in Oregon.
Can't wait for the fall apple juice from the grinder and the 36L press this season.
We ordered the cider press and apple crusher plus the mesh bag. We got them in just a few days and went right to work making apple cider. We've had so much fun and the cider is delicious. So fresh with no preservatives. We just love it and have gotten so many compliments on the cider. Our granddaughter helped us and she had a lot of fun. We couldn't be more pleased with the product and the service. I would recommend your company to everyone that I know would be interested in making cider. Thank you so much for a wonderful product!
