EZ-DO is a premium, nontoxic coating that's ideal for coating the wood parts of your fruit press. Its polyurethane and linseed composition applies as a gel that quickly penetrates and provides long lasting, durable protection.
Available in 1-pint can or 1-quart can.
EZ-DO is easy to apply with a foam or bristle brush, or by wiping on with a cloth. Use two coats for best results.
EZ-DO is not recommended for surfaces that will be in contact with high heat, or for the cutting surfaces of butcher blocks (though it's great for non-working butcher blocks). For products suitable for the tops of working butcher blocks, see Boos Block Mystery Oil and Boos Block Board Cream.

EZ-DO is an excellent product! The gel base makes application quick and easy with minimal clean up time. I applied two coats to our Maple Creek apple press over the course of four days and am very happy with the results!
Had previously tried using mineral oil and wax mix on my butcher block countertops but they required continuous care. The countertops never looked right and the grain seemed to always raise up. The EZ-Do coating applied well over the previous coating and finished up smooth. I applied 4 coats with a light sanding in between coats. Followed up last coat with a 0000 steel wool rub to give the tops a satin finish. I have been very satisfied with the results.
Way too easy to use. Looks great and will protect and give it a deep rich feel.
We recently made a maple butcher-block style countertop, which we finished with several coats of mineral oil. We previously had a maple top on a small island, and felt that the mineral oil finish would be fine. Even after several coats, the mineral-oil-only wasn't doing the trick. Water was soaking in, particularly around the faucet, and various stains were setting in. The mineral oil also had brought out a reddish tint in the wood that we hadn't expected, based on our previous experience.
After some research we tried the EZ-DO product and are very happy with the result. We applied three coats of denatured alcohol to the wood, with quite a bit of sanding between each application. After that, we applied three coats of the EZ-DO, according to the instructions. The stains are gone, the counter looks great, and new water and stains don't soak in. Unfortunately we were unable to remove the red tint, but we can live with it. The countertop has been complete with the EZ-DO for about a month and a half and so far looks like the day we completed the project.
Additionally, we coated another piece of maple with the EZ-DO, without mineral oil. This didn't produce the unfortunate red tint, and looks beautiful--the way we had wanted our counter to look in the first place.
Lots of work later, the countertops look great. We only wish we had started with the EZ-DO in the first place.
I have used this product before on butcher block, I wont use anything else.
The table is a Boos with vertical pieces with the grain going in different directions. After sanding the first coat applied with a brush lengthwise, Looks great, but could see fine brush strokes. Applied the second coat with a sponge bush and the strokes still noticed, but looks great. So, decided to apply the third coat with a sponge brush, but perpendicular to the first two. There is a very fine cross hatching appearance, which actually is very interesting. The product went on easily and dried quickly. I wonder if the factory sprays on the product to eliminate the brush strokes. Great company which delivered on time as promised. Thanks, R. K.
Sealant worked as the directions said. Easy to apply and protected the wood for the first year.
We love EZ-DO for refinishing and touch-ups on our John Boos country table - for us it's a work island. It's a bit fussy to get the finish smooth, but it's doable with care. And I love that's it's food safe.
Ez do is easy to use. The finish is hard. The look is great. I found a brush was easier to use than a cloth for even application. I also used 0000 steel wool at the end to get a very smooth low gloss look.
Arrived on time and does its job.
