Grabill Chicken Chunks 13 oz., Case of 12
Our premium canned chicken chunks are half white meat from the breast and half dark meat from the thigh. Thirteen ounces of tender chicken chunks are sealed in the can with no water added, then cooked in a pressure cooker. Chunks of meat average 3/4", and everyone loves their excellent texture and flavor.
Save Money
You can actually save money with our quality canned meats, even though they cost a little more than refrigerated meats. Sound backward? And that's not all; we're also going to tell you that these meats easily do things that regular fresh meat can't. Sound crazy? Well, hear us out...
Imagine being approached by someone who asks you, "Would you like to buy a can of electricity?" That might seem strange, but consider an analogy: The national average cost of electricity is less than ten cents per kilowatt hour. With that ten cents worth of power you can light a 40 watt bulb for 25 hours. Now imagine that a salesman at your door offered to sell you some canned electricity, the same one-kilowatt quantity, "for the bargain price of $3.00." Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it? But people actually do buy quite a bit of canned electricity, which is just another name for batteries.
We wouldn't suggest replacing all the power you get from the wall socket with battery power. But for many uses, "canned electricity" is so useful and convenient you'd probably have a hard time getting along without it. Think about those cans of electricity in your flashlight, portable radio, camera... the list goes on and on. Considering what it can do, in fact, canned electricity actually is a real bargain. And our canned meats offer the very same value, with one big exception: The cost difference between our canned meats and the "uncanned" kind is miniscule compared to the premium we gladly pay for the convenience of canned electricity!
"Where's the Chicken?" Fresh meat is terrific! You pick some up when you're grocery shopping, put it in your fridge, maybe your freezer, and use it in delicious stir fries, roll-ups, casseroles... you name it. But then something happens... it's gone! There's more at the store, but the store is there and you're here. Or you need it right now. This conundrum generally has three components: Availability, transportation cost, and time.
Availability
Your menu plans call for some meat, and you're fresh out—pardon the pun. Of course it's possible that you never forget to buy enough, but then you probably never lose your keys or misplace your glasses, either. (If this is true, we don't want to hear about it. Really.) For the rest of us, it happens. And when it does, going away to pick up some meat hasn't been factored into our plans and may not be practical. At such times, having a variety of excellent canned meats to select from means you don't have to change plans or do without... you just reach for a can of quality, delicious canned meat, without skipping a beat. Sailboat owners are among our most avid canned meat customers.
Transportation cost
Ordering our canned chicken chunks (or ground beef, or beef chunks, or pork, turkey or fish) for delivery to your door won't involve buying any gas at all. Leave the mileage off your car—FedEx comes through your neighborhood anyway!
Time
It's money, the expression goes. If you know what your time is worth in "dollar terms" you can easily figure out how much an extra trip to the store dings your budget. But time is more than money too. Time is the opportunity to do what you want to for a while... and for most of us, some extra city driving isn't high on our wish list. And there's more: Our meats save you preparation time. There's no trimming or cutting to do, and since they're fully precooked, you just heat and serve!
Preparedness & Shelf Life
We're being advised from many quarters, today, to have some food on hand for one kind of emergency development or another. A variety of circumstances can create a short-term or even long-term need to have food on hand—food that doesn't require refrigeration, in the event that power goes out for a while. If you don't want to live on beans, macaroni or tofu indefinitely, our canned chicken, canned turkey, canned beef & canned pork will put some great meat on your plate. Our canned meats are guaranteed to remain good-as-new for a minimum of five years, but customers have reported that the “still delicious" shelf life in reality is multiple times that long when stored in a cool, dry place. In fact one customer stopped by the cannery with a can sealed 18 years before. Upon opening, they found that the taste and texture were excellent after 18 years! The only thing likely to shorten lifespan is attack by outside moisture rusting through the can, and preventing that is as simple as storing the cans in a dry, clean area.
Ordering Options
We offer two ways to purchase our quality canned meats. If you know what you want (maybe you're already back for more), a case is twelve cans. Net weight of each can is 13 ounces; some natural juices cook out during pressure cooking, and can be used in your cooking. The can measures 4" in diameter by 2-1/2" tall outside. We used to sell larger cans but we greatly prefer the current sizing because you don't have to open so much at one time. If you want to try before you order by the case, we offer a sampler pack.
Superior Quality
Compare to other canned meats and you'll find that they use inferior cuts compared to what goes into our product. Another significant difference in all of our canned meats is that they're salted only lightly, not excessively as so many canned goods are. Past buyers have appreciated our superior quality... we believe you will too!

It's a 10! This chicken makes the most succulent delicious unbelievable egg noodle casserole I've ever eaten in my 60 some years. Fresh tasting chicken chunks that comes in a can and yet it taste like it is fresh right out of the oven. I had to buy 2 cases to keep my pantry stocked. My wife and son couldn't believe the difference from the super market product when I first served them a dish of this. You can mark my word and take it all the way to the bank, It's chickenliously good!
I'm no connoisseur... it tastes just like any other canned chicken I've used. I didn't buy it to tantalize my taste-buds. I bought it to potentially save me from starving. For that... it's just what the doctor ordered. Bought a case for my preps.
Easy to use. Good flavor.
The chicken is good and can be stored a very long time.
Great chicken with a nice broth. All natural.
We use these at least once a week. They make the best vegetable soup and also taste great with mashed potatoes. Honestly, when you open the can you think “uh oh! ” But ignore the look and enjoy the taste! Need to order some more.
Second purchase of canned meats. They keep for a long time without degradation. Mine is not for daily consumption, but an emergency supply to supplement other food stores. Super quality.
I have purchased this canned chicken, as well as the canned ground beef for emergency use. This is a wonderful product, and so nice to have in the pantry for " just in case". It's the perfect size for two of us, and requires no refrigeration until it is opened or used. A prepper's "must have".
Easy to use. Wife will make a chicken soup with it at times. Many different uses. Especially good for emergencies in that cases can be stored in the case of an EMP or terrorist attack on our electrical grid system. If such a thing happened, then you need to have a "storage" of food supplies as you would have no electricity, no emergency services (police or fire). Stores would be closed or broke into and shelves empty.
We've been incredibly impressed with the chicken (and the canned beef, too). There is just no other choice for us now that we have had the Grabill Country canned meats. This is honest and delicious!
