This Amerivacs is an older model of the CAVN-20 series.
AmeriVacs CAVN Series commercial external vacuum sealers provide the versatility to seal bags up to 20" wide. The design is simple and easy to use, and construction and materials are of the highest quality for trouble-free operation and a long service life even in steady commercial use.
Self-contained design: CAVN sealers include built-in compressors to operate the vacuum sealing pump. Thus a separate air supply is NOT required with these models. Electrical components operate on 120VAC.
Nitrogen purge: The CAVN includes the nitrogen purge option (and it can also operate w/o nitrogen purge). Nitrogen purge allows crush-free sealing in an oxygen-free atmosphere. Operating the CAVN with nitrogen purge requires bottled nitrogen (not included.)
Product applications: AmeriVacs external sealers are ideal for sealing all dry and particle-free products. They are not suitable for wet materials, including most foods. Because AmeriVacs sealers do not use a sealing chamber, bags of any length can be used, so these machines are ideal for sealing a range of product including very large items. AmeriVacs vacuum sealers have automatically-retracting air extraction nozzles which allow them to use economical smooth-sided plastic bags, rather than the more expensive embossed bags required by machines designed for low-volume operation. This saves you a lot of money over the long term.

3 mil nylon-poly vacuum sealer bags: This is our most popular type of vac bag. Tough and very economical, these vacuum packaging bags are perfect for a wide range of foods, including boneless meats. They are BPA-free.
All bags feature two ply construction of nylon and poly and provide the optimum combination of tear resistance, impermeability, excellent sealing characteristics, and low cost. Brand may be premium ShanVac® or premium ARY VacMaster® commercial vac pouches.
