Safely place hot sauce pans, fry pans and baking dishes on your serving table with this high quality, cast iron trivet from Skeppshult. Skeppshult’s durable trivet features four solid feet to raise your hot dish above the surface of your table or counter and the scalloped, floral design of the cast iron serves as a decorative kitchen piece when the trivet is not in use. This trivet is reminiscent of cast iron trivets our grandmas used, and we're confident this one will last for generations, just as theirs have.
“Let me express appreciation for the way in which you do business. The young lady who took my order was courteous, pleasant and has excellent product knowledge. She loves her job and loves people, a rare combination in our world today.”
– Jerry Christopher, TX
Skeppshult of Sweden manufactures artisanal cast iron cookware and cook's tools from strictly controlled raw materials in their factory in Småland. Made without harmful chemicals, their products have an exceptionally long life span, which explains how they can provide a 25 year cast iron warranty. Their natural and environmentally friendly cast iron products are made without harmful chemicals and require little maintenance.
Skeppshult's factory operates the only remaining foundry in Scandinavia making household products in cast iron. Many phases in the manufacturing are still pure hand craftsmanship and dependent upon great professional skill. Undergoing an average of ten quality control inspections before completion, your Skeppshult products will withstand year after year of heavy use.
Carl E. Andersson established his foundry on the shores of the Nissan river in 1906. Much has happened since then, but Skeppshult's commitment to fine craftsmanship remains strong. In an age of mass-produced mediocrity, a Skeppshult cast iron piece is a connection to a timeless standard of excellence. A Skeppshult pan or kitchen accessory is both a tool and an inspiration—an investment you'll never regret.

I ordered the Skeppshult cast iron trivet to use them to protect my dining table and to aid when pulling items out of my ROFCO oven. I was impressed with the first one, this is the second and I have decided to try to acquire one for each of the place settings when we put heated stoneware plates on the table in the cold house in winter to keep the food hot as the plates hold the heat and are heated a bit too hot for the table finish. These are the perfect size, beautiful and sturdy. I expect to also be able to use them as risers when serving buffet style. I expect to get a lot of use from them. I appreciate Pleasant Hill Grain for all their offerings or should I say introductions to such well-made and useful product lines.

The item itself is very nice. It looks good, is well made and the right size.
I took one star off because the feet on the thing are slippery, very slippery. They could have used a better material. I have another branded piece which has feet that don't go anywhere but with this you need to be careful cause it can really move.

I'm so pleased to have finally found a trivet that is sturdy and will last a lifetime. I actually purchased four because I teach food classes and entertain family and friends often. I highly recommend these.
