Organic Valley Purity Farms ghee (clarified butter) is non-GMO, made from Grade AA sweet cream certified organic butter. Through a traditional Indian method, butter is cooked until the water and milk solids are removed. The result is traditional ghee—a rich, golden, semi-soft spread for the best in cooking, baking, or sautéing. The taste is superb!

A long, fascinating history
Ghee has been a staple in Indian cooking for centuries. Besides being a practical way to preserve butter, ghee was renowned for its medicinal and rejuvenative qualities. Ayurveda, the ancient natural healing system of India, regards ghee as a vital food.
Shelf life
Organic ghee is shelf stable and can be stored at room temperature. Each jar has a Best By date on the jar that's about a year out from manufacturing. Once open, we recommend using the ghee within 3-4 months for the freshest flavor.

The best flavor and ever so easy to use. Making cinnamon rolls a "cinch" and so fast when you're not melting butter. Lasts without refrigeration. Pleasant Hill Grain is my "go to" for the very best quality and products.
I normally buy the World Grocer's brand. The Organic GHEE isn't any better or worse.

The jar of ghee that I bought was well packaged. I have used it three or four times now, and it adds a good, buttery flavor to things I've cooked with it. The price seems a little steep, but you don't need to use a lot to get the flavor. I might order this again.

I have stopped sautéing in oil and now use Purity Farms Ghee. The flavor added is pleasant and it's so much better than oil for how much is used. Healthier than oil and despite lactose intolerance, I can still use it. It makes the cegetaomelets taste great!
