NutriMill Dough Enhancer

NutriMill gluten-free dough enhancer contains natural ingredients that help dough rise better. It also improves texture and keeps your bread fresh longer. Ingredients: Whey (a dairy product), lecithin, soy powder, citric acid, dry yeast, sea salt, corn starch, ascorbic acid, honey. (Note that the yeast listed is a token amount; if your recipe calls for yeast, add it separately as you would with other dough enhancers.)

The recommended use-rate is 1 tbsp. per four cups of flour (for automatic bread machines, 1 tsp. per 1 lb. loaf.) The makers of NutriMill dough enhancer have been leading suppliers to home bread makers for decades.

Shelf life is 10 years when sealed and stored in a cool, dry enviroment. Once opened it's best to use within a year, but can be used longer if stored in the freezer.

Available in 16 oz. and 25 lbs.

    I recently ran out of dough enhancer and baked my fresh milled whole wheat without it. Wow, I won't again! Loaves took FOREVER to rise, were heavy and dense, not my normal bread.

    I use this for making my whole grain bread. It helps make the texture lighter and gives it a better texture since I don't add any gluten. I make mostly spelt bread. This is my go-to dough enhancer for all my bread. I wouldn't be able to give the spelt bread I make the nice texture without it; it would crumble and fall apart. I also have used this enhancer in some of my soups and to thicken sauces.

    I've used dough enhancer for years. It really helps my bread bake up softer and lighter. It seems to strengthen the dough which helps me a lot since I like to add cracked wheat to my bread. The cracked wheat can tear the gluten strands but I don't seems to have any problems when I add dough enhancer.
