Famag Offset Breaker Bar

This offset breaker bar for the Italian made Famag mixers has a bend in it that brings the bar closer to the spiral dough hook, allowing for easier mixing of small batches, and high hydration dough. If your IM-5, IM-8, or IM-10 Famag mixer came standard with a straight bar it can be replaced with the offset bar on this page. Large batches and low hydration doughs can be mixed with the offset breaker bar just as well as with the straight bar, so there's no need to switch back and forth if you have both. The ideal spacing between the offset breaker bar and the spiral dough hook, at the bottom of the hook is 7mm to 15mm, which is equivalent to 1/4" to 5/8". Famag mixers shipped from Pleasant Hill Grain since October 2020 come standard with the offset breaker bar.
