The 1.7 liter (1.8 qt) Cuisinart PerfecTemp Cordless Electric Kettle brings water to a rolling boil in a matter of minutes thanks to its 1500 watts of power. The one-touch heat settings include: 160° for delicate teas, 175° for green tea, 185° for white tea, 190° for oolong tea, and 200° F for French press coffee, plus "Boil" for black tea or to make hot cocoa, oatmeal, noodles, and more. The Keep Warm button maintains the temperature you set for 30 minutes.

The kettle's 360 degree swivel base allows you to pour liquid without the hassle of a power cord getting in the way, and its memory funtion allows you to remove the kettle for two minutes without it shutting off or losing its place in the heating process. Other great features include the stay cool nonslip handle, a button for lifting the lid, the backlit water window with a measurement scale, the concealed heating element that prevents mineral buildup, a removable/washable scale filter, a dripless pour spout, and boil dry protection with an auto shutoff. The kettle comes with a user manual which includes recipes.

If the Cuisinart PerfecTemp Kettle starts heating without enough water in it, the heater will automatically shut off to avoid damaging the heating element. The lights will flash and the unit will beep to alert you. Once the kettle has cooled, lift it off the base, then replace it to reset and restart the heating cycle. The quickest way to cool the heater down is to fill the kettle with cold water. Alternatively, you can wait for it to cool down on its own. If the unit is not in use for 5 minutes it will revert to sleep mode. The heater and all lights will be off, but your last selections will remain in the unit’s memory. To turn the kettle back on, simply press any button, or lift it up and then return it to the base.
