It's easy: Just pre-freeze the double insulated freezer bowl, and the Cuisinart Pure Indulgence ice cream maker's integrated motor and automatic mixing paddle do all the work. Cleanup is quick and easy, thanks to the nonstick interior. Frozen desserts made in the Cuisinart ICE-30 are sensational! Pick up an extra freezing bowl and you can make a second two quarts as soon as the first batch is ready.

Note: The nonstick coating of the freezer bowl is Xylan. Xylan coating has been shown to be safe for use under 500°F, which of course your ice cream maker would be!

I grew with hand cranked homemade ice cream and wanted an ice cream maker but not the mess. This little machine is amazing! Not sure if it's the machine or the recipes but this makes the BEST ice cream in less than 30 minutes. It "cranks" unattended, so easy. It's soft serve when it's done but if you want firmer, just put it in the freezer. The only problem is staying out of the carton after it's made, I could eat an entire batch.
