Bowl Scraper for Bosch Universal
The Bowl Scraper (MUZ6BS1) fits the mixing bowl of the Bosch Universal Plus mixer. This new L'Equip accessory automates bowl scraping by operating continuously while the mixer runs. It snaps easily over the top of the metal whip drive that has a nylon insert (it is not compatible with the old-style metal whip drive that has no nylon insert, or with the plastic whip drive). The Bowl Scraper can be used with the cookie paddles, cake paddles, wire whips, or batter whisks. One arm scrapes the bowl shaft, the other scrapes the bowl side. An extra set of scraper blades is included. All parts are FDA-compliant food safe. The Bowl Scraper works with the newer Bosch Universal Plus mixer as well as the older Bosch Classic model.
Usage tips: This accessory clips on very easily, and it's very secure as long as you make sure to engage both of the side-clips. Removal also is easy, if you first release both side clips, then tip slightly in the direction shown in the short video on this page, before lifting free.
Note: The accessory bowl scraper should not be used with the stainless steel SB4 bowl for the Bosch mixer because the fit of the scrapers is too tight and could lead to excessive loading on the motor and transmission.
The bowl scraper can't be used with the Doughmaster dough hook.

This is a good product, and is effective. It is a little difficult to remove, because the smaller blade catches at the top underneath the part that sits over the whip drive.
Works very well but I wish you could purchase just the white part that holds the blades. Also wish the holder was made out of metal. There are only two little plastic tabs that hold it on and they break very easily rendering the whole attachment useless! Then you have to buy the whole kit instead of just the holder!
The issue I had with the bowl scraper was that I could not clip it together, and when I thought I did, I turned on the mixer and the piece fell apart, not broken, just fell apart. The mixer is great, but I have to stop it every few minutes to scrape the bowl. It's a pain.
I've had my Bosch for 30+ years and finally needed replacement parts. This is a great addition that I'd never had before! Love it!
The scraper attaches nicely and fits well. I tried to use it for cheesecake which begins with very stiff and sticky batter. The drag on the scraper simply overpowered the gears and I quickly shut it down and then continued without the scraper. I haven't tried but think it would work very well when mixing ingredients that would not present such a strong resistance. It is very easy to put on, take off, and clean.
I ordered this tool with my Bosch Universal Plus mixer. I grew up using my mother's Bosch mixer and remembered constantly having to scrape the sides with a rubber spatula to incorporate all of the ingredients. When I saw that Bosch was now offering this tool I was excited and included it in my order. I used this tool last week when making chocolate chip cookies. I WAS AMAZED! CLEAN SIDES! I didn't have to stop the mixer AT ALL to clean the sides. The bowl scraper keeps the sides of the bowl clean through the entire mixing process and keeps all of the ingredients in the mixture. Love it! It makes life and clean up much easier AND it even makes baking easier. It takes away that extra step of scraping the sides of the bowl. I'm SOLD! : )
For a machine of this caliber, this is a cheap attachment and it is difficult to put together and take apart.
Works as it should - cleans the sides well. Just a little hard to snap on and off the drive.
I find this hard to snap onto the whip drive attachment. I had to have my husband do it, and he struggled getting it on as well. I'm hoping it will loosen up as time goes by so I can attach it successfully myself.
This worked very well with my small batch of cookie dough. It kept the ingredients from sticking to the sides of the bowl and made the mixing time faster since I didn't have to stop periodically to scrape down the batter.
