Description

The Berkey® accessory sight glass spigot replaces the standard spigot and provides a full-time display of just how much water is in the lower (purified) section of your system. Like the standard spigot, the handle provides your choice of either "stay-open" or "return to closed" action.

Quality Spigot

Many of the sight glass options out there are made of cheap silver painted plastic, not this spigot! This spigot is made of quality materials. It was easy to replace my old standard spigot, just unscrew the old one, screw on the new one, no problem. Now I can tell at a glance if my Berkey needs to be refilled!

Glad I bought a Berkey Purifier

I harvest my drinking water from rain water that I collect off my roof then I run it through my Berkey filter to get any impurities that might be in the rain water and use it for drinking and cooking. Never been sick since I have been using my Berkey Purifier either. The bottled water I used to drink is contaminated with Bisphynol A and who knows what else, now I am 100% natural and pure with my water. No more chemicals from plastic to contaminate my body.

New Spigot for berkey with glass sight gauge

I replace the short stock spigot on the berkey water filter with the very expensive long glass sight one. Love the new one, now you don't have to raise the top heavy part half to see how much water is in the bottom part. considering the very high price that you pay for the berkey that should be the stock one without the high price of replacing the short one that comes with the new unit. Most people eventually buy the tall one sooner or later anyway. Do believe the company knows this and uses this to make extra money. That said I would still buy one because you can't find a better water filter on the market. Best company to do business with, very fast shipping, Most items the shipping is included, Most other places sometimes charge more for shipping then the item costs, best prices anywhere. Another big plus they have in stock just about everything you need. Love this company, Highly recommend them.

Good system

The glass-topped spigot makes it very easy to know how much water you have. My only complaint is it should have had a top support to make it stronger and so it dos not move when you bump it.

Love the sight spigot!

Much easier to keep track of water level in our Big Berkey! When my husband and I were trying to fill the water filter we would go from one extreme to another. Either we would run out of water thinking the other person had taken care of refilling at night or we both would add water not knowing the bottom reservoir was already full. The sight spigot solves the problem—wish we had bought it with our original purchase. Spigot is well made, heavy, and the glass is well protected. If installed correctly, it seals well with no leaks. Service and delivery were excellent!

Great addition to a great product

Prevents having to lift a potentially heavy top section in order to see the water level in the lower section. My wife has been wanting the sight glass spigot for some time. I was concerned about the sturdiness of the construction. The unit is very well made and the glass tube is well protected. This will be an automatic purchase with any new filters we buy.

Easy set-up and no leaks! Black Berkey filters easy to purge; the PF-2 slightly harder to get clear water. Very satisfying product. Berkey used in Nepal to provide clean water.
