Wells & Wade Apple & Fruit Picking Bag

These comfortable fruit picking bags/apple picking bags are constructed of waterproof, super durable Cordura nylon that's resistant to mold, mildew and abrasion and has a strong steel upper frame and leather edge protector. They're excellent for any type of fruit and has a 2" wide, adjustable strap and an 8" x 14" padded suede cushion extending down from the rear edge of top opening that protects both the picker and the fruit. The draw ropes are adjustable for bag depth and unhook easily to empty fruit through the bottom.

The fruit picking/apple picking bags are available in two size. The top opening of each measures 9" x 18". The standard bag (color blue) holds one bushel (42 lbs.) of apples. Its opened length is 28". The large fruit picking bag (green color) holds 1-1/3 bushels (56 lbs.) and has an opened length of 34". Either bag can be shortened for smaller capacity by simply re-knotting the tie ropes.

Good picking bag

I've been using these for about 5 years to pick my wine grapes. I'm up to 6 bags, I have lots of friends who love to help. Having my hands free lets me pick way faster. The bags have held up well even when shoved into a plastic tote and not seen for a year at a time.

Is a good size for personal orchard picking, material seems sturdy. Only wish it came with some sort of instructions or photo of setting up the straps and tips for use, as it is a gift.

Great picking bags!

We're picking apples with these and they're far more efficient than dangling bags off your shoulder while climbing a ladder or tree. Three of us have used them to pick several tons of fruit so far. The unloading method is great, although the ropes sometimes get snagged by tree branches causing the bag to empty. The strap system (once adjusted) is comfortable for several hours of picking, but I would consider the padded harness if picking professionally.
