This high performance immersion blender by Vitamix has the power and design to deliver high quality blends consistently on a wide range of blending recipes. The 625-watt motor and variable speed control allows blending and chopping into a variety of textures including individual smoothies and batches of soups, dressings, and sauces without having to work with blender carafes. The length of the shaft including the cutter guard is 9-1/8 inches; overall length of the blender is 18 inches. Speed is variable from 7,000 to 15,000 RPM.

The Vitamix immersion blender disassembles for easy storage. Simply twist and lock the arm to the motor when read to use.

The blade is one piece that's laser-cut of hardened stainless steel for lasting sharpness and thorough blending. The blade has a scratch resistance blade guard to prevent scratching of your pots and pans.

I just received and unpacked my Vitamix Immersion Blender. I haven’t had time to use it, but did plug it in and turned it on. There is no doubt in my mind this will be an appliance that will outlast and out perform the last brand I bought. The specifications do not do it justice. This power machine should be in every professional chef’s cabinet, as well as every serious homemaker who loves to cook.

This is a very powerful mixer! Mixes whatever you want. Like the controls, speed settings and handle design. the only thing I don't like is the holes in the head. It doesn't allow me to make mayonnaise properly but I figured out a work around so it's good. This is a very good buy.
