The Vitamix Ascent A2500 Blender's 2.2 peak horsepower motor is a power plant with the finesse you need to perfectly tailor the results of every kitchen task. Blade speed is infinitely variable. The Ascent A2500 features three computer program settings to automatically process ideal smoothies, frozen desserts and hot soups, and also includes a handy pulse feature.
The blender, carafes and cups communicate through wireless technology. The 64-ounce carafe is programmed to run on the base for optimum performance according to its size and functionality. This built-in wireless connectivity will allow Ascent series blenders to evolve with the latest innovations for years to come.
The Vitamix Ascent A2500 comes with a huge, low-profile 64 ounce carafe. Its special tapered design lets you do amounts as small as you need, but when you want to do a full load of veggies, fruit, ice cream, or crushed ice, the Ascent will hold it all in one batch—and it has the power to chop, grind, puree or liquefy those big batches. Yet it works equally well with quantities as small as 4 ounces. The 64-oz Ascent carafe is clearly marked by ounce, mililiter and cup measurements. The clear lid allows you to see what you're blending, from above.
The blade is one, laser-cut piece of hardened stainless steel for lasting sharpness and thorough blending. The blade assembly of the Vitamix Ascent features ball bearings that outlast common bushings and are sealed to prevent food and liquid penetration.
A digital timer counts up when using variable speed until Start/Stop is pressed. The 64-oz carafe is programmed with a specific maximum run time and the blender will shut down automaticallly when the maximum run time has elapsed.
After blending most types of ingredients, just put in 2 drops of dish soap with 5 cups warm water and run on high for 30-60 seconds: The powerful Vitamix Ascent cleans itself. You don't even need to remove the blades!

The Vitamix Ascent Dry Carafe is used for grinding dry ingredients into flour, including wheat, oats, rice, and nuts. The blades are specially designed to handle coarse dry ingredients. This carafe can even mix dense doughs for bread and pizza! The carafe is made of BPA free heavy duty plastic, with hardened stainless steel blades laser cut to last years! Its' petite size is made for easy storage in most cabinets. Vitamix's new self-detect technology will automatically detect the different carafe and adjust settings accordingly for the size! The included tamper is specially designed to push ingredients towards the blades for an even blend. The removable lid plug allows you to add ingredients while blending. Ascent series carafes are easy to clean, just add some warm water and a drop of soap, then blend for 35 seconds! The carafe and lid are also dishwasher safe in case your carafe is in need of a deeper clean.

Impressive machine. Although it makes a lot of noise it does a terrific job on the soups, smoothies and desserts I have tried so far. Service was fast as always from PHG. I especially like the programs on machine for smoothies, desserts and soups.
