Tomato & Food Strainer

The Johnny Apple Sauce Maker and tomato strainer features sturdy construction and an easy-to-use design. It clamps onto your table or counter edge (from 3/4" to 1-7/8" thick). Just place your fruit or vegetables in hopper and turn the large, comfortable handle. Peelings and seeds come out the end of the tomato strainer; tomato meat and juices flow through the perforated stainless steel outer tube and down the plastic chute. Hopper measures 4.75" x 7.75", with 2.1" diameter throat, capacity is 2.75 quarts. Disassembles quickly for easy cleanup. Mounting clamp is rubber insulated to protect countertops.

With an improved design, this new strainer is better than ever! It still makes all the great sauces, purees, juices and jams you love without painstaking peeling or coring. Quickly separates fruit and vegetable puree from unwanted skins, stems and seeds. An apple/tomato screen with 1.35mm holes is included. Add accessory screens to make your Roots & Branches food strainer even more versatile!

Applesauce-ability included! Put peeled, cored & cooked apples in this strainer and it makes applesauce!

Great accessories: Optional auger and screens make grape juice, separate pumpkin meat and strain berries. Want to make salsa? There's no quicker or handier way of making salsa than this machine with the salsa-making screen.

Good Machine from a Great Company

I read a fair number of negative reviews re: the Victorio strainer. I bought mine from Pleasant Hill Grain because in about 10 years of dealing with them, their customer service has been excellent and there has never been a problem with the high quality items I have received from them. Regarding the strainer: after reading the user's manual, I realized that the people who had problems with this strainer hadn't read the instructions, hadn't understood the instructions, decided to ignore the instructions, or forgot the instructions! The strainer performed very well. It is easily assembled, disassembled, and cleaned. If you are considering purchasing the Victorio strainer, I say go for it! You can buy from PHG with confidence that you will receive great service and high quality, whatever you buy.

This is my second Victorio as a relative decided he couldn't live without that great thing and I was of the same opinion. Peace required two. Apples, tomatoes, and stringless, no lump winter squash, all prepared in minutes keeps the whole family happy, the larder stocked, and I can put up a batch or two after work and still have time to relax. It is wonderful!

I have an old all metal Squeezo and it was taking hours to get through a large box of tomatoes. Primarily bought this new product for the blackberries but when it arrived I decided to run both of them (old and new) on the tomatoes. What had taken me over 3 hours with my old Squeezo was done in less than 30 minutes. I was originally concerned with all the plastic parts but the performance certainly outdid my all metal machine.
