Clearance: NutriMill Plus Grain Mill
This is an R1 clearance item. Please check the tables below to see how we rate our clearance items.
Introducing the NEW NutriMill Plus! The new NutriMill Plus grain mill boasts 11 new patented improvements. It’s 15% quieter than L'Equip's previous design, and has 20% more batch capacity—now a huge 24 cups!
The NutriMill Plus mill is uniquely designed to nest compactly inside its flour canister for a 30% smaller storage footprint than the NutriMill Classic. With its patented 4-stage filtration system and included flour bagger accessory, milling at home is clean and convenient.
With all these advancements, the NutriMill Plus retains all the key advantages of the very popular NutriMill Classic, starting with the ability to grind flour from fine to coarse, or anywhere between. The NutriMill Plus electric grain mill uses a high speed impact milling chamber (also referred to as a micronizer) to create flour from grains and beans, a modern and well-proven milling design.
“Very pleasantly surprised at how truly simple and clean this whole process is. Biggest and best surprise of all is how much my kids like the pancakes, biscuits, and bread that we make from fresh-milled grains. Very happy with this product.”
– John W., LA
Convenient, powerful & fast: Just pour grain in the hopper, turn the NutriMill on, and its powerful two speed, 1200 watt motor does the rest to quickly produce your choice of fine, medium or coarse flour. The grinding mechanism is self cleaning, and with a new four stage filtration system it operates exceptionally dust-free.
The versatile NutriMill Plus grinds wheat (both hard and soft), oat groats (dehulled oats), spelt, kamut, triticale, rice, dry beans, lentils, dent (field) corn, popcorn, dried sweet corn, split peas, buckwheat, rye, barley, millet, quinoa, amaranth, teff, sorghum, dried mung beans and soybeans. It will also grind dried just-sprouted grain. The NutriMill Plus isn't suitable for spices, herbs, oilseeds such as flax, chopped chestnuts, flaked oats or fibrous materials. Grains and beans that have already been milled can't be milled again in any impact mill, including the NutriMill Plus. Also note that when set for coarser meal texture, the NutriMill Plus output remains too fine for making cereal grinds such as cream of wheat. The NutriMill Plus is an outstanding machine for making a full range of flour and meal textures.
The design of the NutriMill Plus impact chamber lets you to put grain into the hopper before you turn it on with no risk of plugging the mill, which can happen with older designs. Even if stopped during grinding, the NutriMill Plus restarts again without trouble. This is a crucial design feature for an impact mill.
“I ordered the tiniest (I mean really small) attachment last week and I was treated as if I was buying a top-of-the-line electronic appliance. Staff was informed and courteous—shipping was FedEx prompt. Pleasant Hill will be my go to kitchen supply site from now on!”
– Wendy P., IL
Protects nutrients: The NutriMill Plus keeps your flour at temperatures (typically about 118°) that protect the nutrients in your grains. Its new airflow design makes the NutriMill the world's coolest-running impact mill.
The NutriMill Plus includes flour bagger that makes it easy to prepare flour ahead, and it's ideal for making a gift of flour to a friend. A ring holds the bag in place in the flour bin, and one bag holds all the flour from a full hopper of grain. Ten plastic storage bags are included with the grain mill.

Expanded Ratings Descriptions
|R1||Very close scrutiny is required to tell that the item isn’t brand new. Non-working surfaces (cabinet, control panel) look essentially new. Carton may not be perfect.|

By Barbara N. in ME on 1/29/2016 - Verified BuyerMuch quieter than the vacuum cleaner, first use had a very minor dust leak at bin lid edge though none after that. Must be a breaking-in thing. It milled my wheat berries unbelieving fast and uniform. I tried all the settings. sifted and got different results of more or less branny stuff in sifter. Just saying that because even though it's a slight turn of the dial, the machine does the thinking. The Nutrimill Plus is fun to us and not messy at all. I'm totally new to milling my own grain and I'm absolutely hooked. The taste of a fresh baked loaf of bread... delicious! Eager to try more grains. Pleasant Hill Grain gave excellent service and free shipping.23 out of 23 people found this review helpful. Did you?
By John W. in LA on 4/20/2016 - Verified BuyerVery pleasantly surprised at how truly simple and clean this whole process is. Been using the mill for a few months now. Ordered wheat berries, rye, spelt, barley, millet, etc. Everything mills cleanly and easily. No dust storms! As a bonus, the mill is compact and good-looking, so I don't mind leaving it out on my counter in a corner. Biggest and best surprise of all is how much my kids like the pancakes, biscuits, and bread that we make from fresh-milled grains. Even a roux comes out great with fresh flour. Very happy with this product. Suggestion: volume measurements (cups, tablespoons) are not as reliable as before because my fresh flour "settles" over time. Bought a kitchen scale and use weight to keep track of my recipes. Makes it more likely to replicate a successful experiment.16 out of 16 people found this review helpful. Did you?
By Scott K. in MN on 12/18/2015 - Verified BuyerI don't have a Nutrimill Classic to compare it to, but I DO have a hand-powered mill, and - not surprisingly - the grain is ground far faster this way. I wasn't able to find much flour dust around after grinding, and it's pretty easy to clean.
My only complaint is that the grain doesn't always automatically go from the hopper to the grinder. .. I often have to stir it a little bit to get it going again. It's possible that I have the red "thing" that controls the grain set up incorrectly though... if so, I'll come back and edit.11 out of 11 people found this review helpful. Did you?
By Sue K. in KY on 10/9/2017 - Verified BuyerI've used five different powered mills, all supposed to be top of the line bread flour quality. The Nutrimill is by far the best and the new Nutrimill plus is better than the original. Quieter, cleaner, and neater; flour is excellent quality a generous quantity is held by the canister when filled. I used my original Nutrimill nearly 20 years before I accidentally put a rock thru it, that didn't do it any good, so instead of having it reworked I purchased the upgraded Nutrimill plus. The new Nutrimill actually cost slightly less than the original did long ago! They were both a bargain, i mill grain weekly, sometimes more often, corn, beans, lentils, rice, etc as needed for baking and cooking and never a problem. Thanks for the new Nutrimill Plus.8 out of 8 people found this review helpful. Did you?
By Joseph L. in ID on 11/11/2016 - Verified BuyerHad a Wondermill for years. Storage footprint for the NutriMill is smaller, and it allows filling before turning on (meaning: if I overfill the hopper I can turn it off without worrying about toasting the motor, which I did once with my Wondermill). Have only had it a week, but am happy with it so far.8 out of 8 people found this review helpful. Did you?

By Katie J. in MI on 5/26/2016 - Verified BuyerI've used my NutriMill Plus once since I got it and plan to use it again very soon - it was SO much quieter than my cousin's NutriMill (regular) and made NO mess - I love it! Very easy to use, clean, etc. It made flour exactly like I expected - very similar to flour you'd buy in the store (but so much better for you!).7 out of 7 people found this review helpful. Did you?
By Joseph K. in PA on 3/1/2016 - Verified BuyerI love this mill. easy to use. Super simple to clean. Does an amaing job on many different grains for me. I fill the hopper with up to 4 lbs. of grain and get wonderful flour. I have even done rice (white and brown) with it! Great value, awesome machine!7 out of 7 people found this review helpful. By Richard G. in MO on 9/23/2016 - Verified BuyerWe received our new mill today and find after watching the assembly and reading the material, it was easy to use. We ground our first batch of Emmer wheat which gave us three pounds and it had a very nice feel to it, the texture at two will turn us out great home made breads. If you grind Emmer or Einkorn just be sure to pick through and go through the wheat to make sure there are no hulls as ancient grains do have hulls but they are much better and worth it. So we will be making hamburger buns today, we usually make lots of ciabattas, baquettes, boules and more but since we received a very nice recipe book with our purchase we are going to try it out. Thanks Pleasant Hill, this is a Godsend especially after having owned a manual mill for two years.6 out of 6 people found this review helpful. Did you?
By Diane in Los Angeles on 2/10/2019 - Verified BuyerMy Kitchenetics Kitchen Mill has been showing its age, and I wanted to try something different. I bought this Nutrimill and a MockMill 200. The Nutrimill was the quietest of the three (80db vs 90 for the MockMill vs 100+ for the Kitchenetics mill; I use earplugs for all milling). It is fast, and efficient with straightforward milling of wheat and rice; it needed a lot of fussing to get field corn to enter the milling chamber. I routinely mill whole spices with grains when customizing fresh flour for each recipe (at most 2% by weight of the recipe) and occasionally use some oilier grains or seeds (flax, chia, again at a very low percentage by weight of the mix), and the mill did fine with a bit of spice or tiny bit of oilier grain.
Why did I not rate it 5 stars? It really is a very fine mill, but:
I preferred the Mockmill for ease of cleaning and use, and versatility in being able to create quite coarse grinds (important for some crackers) as well as very fine flours.
And I preferred my Kitchenetics mill, despite the increased volume, for those times when I want to use larger grains to make a very fine flour.5 out of 5 people found this review helpful. Did you?
