Heavy twine for big jobs
By Susan G. in NY on 4/23/2020 Verified Buyer

This twine is very heavy. I wrapped a ruler with it and counted seven wraps per inch, which gives you an idea of its size. For comparison purposes, a lighter twine which has eleven wraps per inch is what I use to truss chickens for roasting. This twine is too heavy for chickens. It would be superb for large beef and pork roasts and for large turkeys. The yarn package is a tidy ball, which you pull from the outside. I can see that it will need secondary containment, such as a tub, to keep it neat in a cabinet or drawer. The twine has a low twist energy, which means that it is nice and floppy and easy to work making ties. No place of origin is specified, just a distribution address from Ohio. I wish I were confident that it were American-made.
