Kuhn Rikon Valve Caps Pair, 1488

This is the little plastic cap that fits on top of the pressure valve, and this one is for current models. This part measures about 9/16" in diameter. Threaded hole on the underside simply screws onto the top of the valve stem. Sold only as a pair. Note the shape: These have a straight-sided cylindrical shape, and the shape is how you should identify whether this is the cap needed for your cooker.

These caps last a longtime under heavy usage. I use my pressure cookers 1-3 times a day. The last time I had to replace valve caps was 6 years ago. And I had those on 2 cookers for about 7-8 years.

Easy to order and I now have an extra as they came in a two-pack. We have enjoyed using our pressure cooker for many many years so its understandable that the rubber parts would eventually deteriorate. The only reason I've ordered it is simple: old part has the thread lost. If I where the boss, this little plastic piece would have metal insert with thread to connect to a plunger.
