Kuhn Rikon Steam Trivet

Steam Trivets are included with most of the deep-bodied Kuhn Rikon cookers. The Risotto Cooker (#3064) doesn't include one, and it would take the 22cm trivet. The 23cm trivet is the largest trivet Kuhn Rikon makes, and it's used for cookers 28cm. The trivets are made entirely of stainless steel (not nonstick coated).

Available in 19cm, 22cm and 23cm.

A specially developed cleaning agent for stainless steel, brass, copper, nickel, and ceramic stove tops. This cleaner will clean the inside and shine the outside of your cooker. Nonabrasive, nontoxic and 95% biodegradable. 5 oz tube. Our cleaner works on All Clad stainless, Le Creuset, Chantal and all other commercial stainless cookware.

Note: For some unknown reason, the directions on the tube omit the "rubbing" step. This is not a wipe on/rinse off product, despite the tube's directions. It is a cleaning paste, some rubbing is required, and it works great!

Perfect for canning

I had been using an aluminum rack in my stainless stockpot for water bath canning, but the interaction of the different metals was causing corrosion/pitting. Since this trivet is made from the same metal as the pot, corrosion shouldn't be a problem. While slightly smaller than the bottom of the pot, it's large enough to support a full load of jars. I'm ready for canning season!
