For routine cleaning, simply grind some coarse salt, the salt will absorb residual oils and any aftertaste. For the rest of the grinder, Use mild soap and water on a damp cloth. Dry with a towel.

Avoid dampness, do not grind over boiling pot.

Do not use cloves or anise as pils will destroy plastic.
