Knob for Bosch Univ Plus Mixer
This is the knob for the Universal Plus mixer. It does not include the electric switch inside.
To remove your old knob, pull it straight out from the face of the mixer. A pliers can be used, but don't try to get behind the knob, as this could scratch your mixer; rather, just grasp the part of the old knob that you'd normally grasp with your fingers, and pull straight outward. The new knob installs by simply pushing it straight inward. Instructions are included with the knob for ensuring that the inner switch is oriented correctly before pushing the new knob into place.

The knob was exactly what I needed! Very simple to install and my Bosch is back to work! I appreciate Pleasant Hill Grain and the variety of products offered, the ease of ordering, and the fact that my order came quickly!
Received the knob to replace the one that broke. Followed the instructions that were included. Checked the position with the old broken job but it wasn't quite right. Glad we did that. Repeated the procedure according to the instructions. Popped in the new knob. Now works like new! Yeah!
We had an issue with our previous Bosch knob getting stripped...this replacement knob fit right on and has allowed us to continue to use our older Bosch!

I needed to replace the knob on my Bosch universal mixer. I have ordered from Pleasant Hill Grain before and found ordering to be easy and fast. This was my experience this time as well. Came very quickly and hubby installed it just perfectly. Had to call them to find out what the spring was for, and was told nothing, you don't need it!
This is the right knob for a Bosch Universal Plus 800 watt mixer. Only problem is the instructions. What I would recommend is as follows: When you look at the instructions you will see that their are 2 internal parts that need to be in the right position before installation. For the outer ring-follow the instructions. However for the inner piece (which is the actual switch that turns the mixer on and off) Plug in the mixer and turn it with a flat screw driver until the mixer turns off. The center square hole should have its corner POINTING UP. (Like a diamond) Once you have done this the switch is in the correct position and you can install the knob pointing up (Towards OFF) I did not do this the first time and had to remove the knob and reinstall it. Hope this is helpful.
Functions well, but even though my husband read the directions it still got installed wrong and now the positions are all messed up. The machine works fine, but OFF is now in the sideways position, etc. The only way to fix it now is to take the whole machine apart, which he intends to do eventually. Just be careful if you are installing on your own!
Replaced this knob after 15 years of use. This is the only item needing repair in over 15 years of heavy use! Love this mixer!! Recommend to everyone I know that bakes.
Have purchased two Bosch Univ Plus Mixers from PHG. My wife and daughter-in-law love this mixer; they use them for mixing everything, but especially bread. Had to purchase replacement knob on two separate occasions due to wear; they fit perfectly but be sure to read the instructions before attempting installation.
