"Above all, we’re very pleased with your courteous and honest service to us. I’m such a critic that when I praise something, it merits high praise indeed. I wouldn't bother to write this if I was not so favorably impressed." — Ed Casey, CA
For hundreds of years cooks have used the mortar and pestle as their tool of choice to crush herbs and spices. The Emile Henry mortar & pestle is designed to extract the flavor and oils from spices such as coriander, cardamom and cloves while offering the classic beauty of French styling. The shape of the mortar bowl is carefully designed for cooks to comfortably press and crush spices in the kitchen or at the table.
The bowl of the Emile Henry mortar is a spacious 5.5-inches in diameter providing plenty of room to grind and crush. Its four rounded edges make it easy to handle. The mortar is also well-balanced and deep, offering leverage and stability. The unglazed ceramic interior offers the friction needed to properly grind spices.
The pestle is made of beechwood, with a ceramic head.
All Emile Henry products are made in France.
“Your company provides the sort of service I thought did not exist anymore. I'll purchase more things from you in the future because of your great service and your honesty.”
– Greg Ortega, AZ
