Cake Paddles & Metal Whip Drive

These new cake paddles with metal whip drive attach to the Bosch Universal Plus (or older style Bosch Classic) mixer, for making cake and quick bread batter as well as other pourable batters and frosting. They let you make better cake because they avoid incorporating too much air into the batter, which causes cakes to fall during baking.

If you have an older mixer with a plastic whip drive, you will need to use the cake paddles with the metal whip drive that's included with the paddles on this page.

We also offer the cake paddles without the metal whip drive here.

To avoid damage, it's important not to use the Dough Glide accessory with these paddles.

The cake paddles also fit the NutriMill Artiste mixer.

Good, but I'm leery

This is my second pair of cookie whips. They did last quite a while, and I'm not sure if it was my dough, or manufacturing problem that caused them to break, but they shredded into my dough. I won't use these for more than 2-3 batches of dough (depending on the dough stiffness) out of fear they may do the same again.

I purchased these along with an extra metal driver so that I don't have to pull them off and put another paddle on. Glad I did this as I managed to break off one of the little prongs that hold the paddle to the metal head. Service was wonderful helping me get a replacement for the broken one. All my Bosch equipment works wonderfully for its intended use. I only break things when I don't use them correctly--like making divinity with whisks, instead of cookie paddles. Beat meringue with whisk to soft peaks, then switch to cookie paddle. Works wonderfully. Getting cake paddle was just a precaution so that I have the right equipment for the project.

During this time of supplies being limited I've tried several suppliers to get what's needed. The Bosch cake paddles with metal whip drive are very nice and PHG delivered them quickly. I only wish that their shipping cost was a bit cheaper. If you order a minimum of $59 it's free shipping, but like I said earlier supplies are limited due to Corona.
