Bamix Powder Disk

The Bamix powder disk is used in conjunction with the Bamix Food Processor attachment to grind food into fine powders. Use to grind coffee, herbs, spices, vanilla pods, peppercorns, and many dried foods. To use the Bamix Powder Disk remove the food processor lid and put your ingredients into the processor bowl. Insert the powder disk and replace the lid. For better results run your Bamix Immersion blender at level 2 speed when using your powder disk.

This attachment keeps the spices in a small volume for grinding to a powder. As always with Bamix, the quality is the highest.

The addition of this powder disk to the already formidable Bamix arsenal allows me to save time and effort when using spices for things such as marinades and cures. Recipes regularly call for freshly ground spices, requiring a whole lot of wrist action to provide the necessary tablespoons of aromatic and tasty goodness. This unit allows me to eliminate wear and tear on my pepper mill and possible carpel tunnel syndrome and is therefore highly regarded in my kitchen!

It's been 3 months now and the Bamix Powder Disk has held up nicely to regular usage. I continue to use this handy tool when preparing freshly ground spice blends.

A Bamix Must-have

This is an accessory for the Bamix processor that ships with the Superbox or can be ordered separately; it allows you to powder commodities like cinnamon that have already been ground in the processor. The Bamix and its accessories are all brilliantly engineered and the Powder Disk is no exception; it works as advertised. Don't hesitate to buy it if you think it's something you'll use. In fact, if you've purchased the Superbox, I recommend purchasing all of the accessories that aren't included, with the exception of the Dry Grinder. And if you don't own a Bamix, what're you waiting for??

Disclaimer: I purchased this as a gift; I know from personal experience that it works because I have one as well.

Excellent for grinding little amounts

I used it to grind cinnamon and it did an excellent job. The smell of the fresh ground seasoning was unbeatable! Unfortunately the Powder Disc got discolored by the seasoning and I could not wash it away, you cannot use dishwasher either.
