This is a superb cooking tool. The edge of the spoon is sharp enough to "catch" floating oil on stocks for hand-skimming, and the bowl of the spoon is medium-sized and not too deep. It is not a ladle, but a work spoon, and this size makes it a great access tool for pots of different sizes. I don't hang my tools from a bar, but maybe I will start! Too bad that it had a "made in China" sticker on it. I thought it was made in Germany.
