Pressure cooking for the beginner can be a little daunting. This book takes a lot of the guesswork out. And with the many variations of a recipe it's very helpful. I also really like that it breaks down all the different meat vegetable and grain options and how long a basic recipe should cook so you can learn to pressure cook without a recipe too.
So far every recipe cooked from this cookbook has come out better than expected. The recipes are easy to follow and the timing is right on the money. I am glad I purchased this cookbook from Pleasant Hill and recommend it to others who enjoy pressure cooking or are just starting out with a new cooker.
So, we were pleased that these came with our two cookers we bought for Xmas presents.
We've been cooking with pressure cookers for many years, and you just can't remember everything everytime, so it's a really good reference to have on hand. It covers just about anything you'd want to know or brush up on before you start. It's nice to have a reference work that covers cooking times, high/low pressure recommendations, addition of spices, hebs, seasonings and broths , etc. to add to enhance flavors and turn out food that is not only done, but done right..
