Norpro Butter Keeper

The Norpro Butter Keeper measures 4" tall x 4” wide and holds a full stick (1/2 cup) of butter.

Butter left open on the countertop won't keep long... and when refrigerated it tears nasty holes in your bread. Happily, there's a third way—the Norpro butter keeper. What butter needs to remain fresh isn't cold temperature, but protection from the oxygen in air. Using a forgotten, centuries-old technique, the Norpro Butter Keeper makes sure your butter stays soft and fresh right on the counter for up to a month!

Just pour an inch of water in the base, pack the upper section with butter, and invert it in the base. The water seals out air, keeping your butter soft, sweet & fresh for up to 30 days. If you're anything like us, you might be thinking something along the lines of "Fresh butter on the counter... for weeks... oh sure..." Yep, we were skeptical too. But we tried it... and it works wonderfully!

The only maintenance required is to change the water every third day. You'll soon be recommending butter keepers to your friends!

I LOVE toast! My butter is now at the perfect temp & consistency to make perfectly buttered toast! The butter is always soft & fresh.
