Meadows Eccentric Sifter

The Meadows eccentric flour sifter has been in production for years; it's a proven design that runs well and does excellent work with low maintenance. The sifter is built to your specifications. For feeding the sifter, a round 2 bushel stainless steel hopper with four hooks can be included for an additional $945. Extended legs can also be added, for an additional $756, to the sifter to provide an outlet discharge height of 42". Whether you need a three product outlet sifter with seven screens, a four product outlet sifter with three screens, or any other combination, we can build a machine to exactly accomplish your purposes. The sifter comes standard with four outlets, which produces three products plus overs. The sifters are designed to hold up to nine screen sections. A standard (6) screen sifter is 53.25" tall, for example. For each screen section, add or subtract 3.25" for height. The screen sections are removable for easy cleaning or changing.

Screens are necessary for operation of the sifter. Due to the wide range of configuration options, the base sifter ($4,976 price is for the sifter and motor only) is priced without screens. The sifter can be set up with 3, 6 or 9 screen sections and screens cost $364 each. Some screen size recommendations are: Grits 12 mesh, Polenta 14 mesh, Corn Meal 18 to 20 mesh and Corn Flour 30 to 40 mesh. For the almost white flour use a 36 mesh screen. For white bread-all purpose flour use 60 mesh. Pastry flour use 100 mesh. Successful configuration of the sifter requires individual consultation, so orders for this product are taken by phone. Please see the link at bottom of page for our hours of operation.

More details can be seen under the specs tab, above.

Pricing is FOB, please e-mail or call for a shipping quote. Crating fee for the eccentric sifter is $150 for an open crate, $300 for an enclosed crate. Sifters are shipped with an on/off switch and an 8' AC cord with a standard 15 amp 120V AC plug.

Happy with my Meadows flour sifter
By Robert Keen, SD on 3/22/2017 Verified Buyer

I grind sorghum and milo and I'm happy with the Meadows sifter, it does the job for me. I'm getting a ratio of 45% 70 mesh, 45% 40 mesh and 10% 20 mesh flour from the sifter. I use the 20 mesh flour for making cereal.

The sifter has a good simple design, maintenance is easy, and it's built to last for years. You need to bolt it to a stable platform.

I have just received FDA approval to produce the gluten free sorghum flour. I believe I am now the only producer of it in South Dakota. Public awareness of the health benefits along the increased media coverage is driving up the demand for the gluten free sorghum flour. My long term prospects look good.
