My wife had problems with the sprilizer. She called the company and got a voice message and was most unhappy but within an hour she was called back explaining that they had some problem with the phones. They didn’t have an immediate response but within an hour she was called back OK with a solution. We were impressed and will not have any hesitation to buy something else from PHG.
Very efficient and convenient accessory. I need to tweak my skills to get more spirals and fewer short pieces, but it was easy to assemble and easy to clean and worked well. I would suggest a number or indicator stamped on the blades to easily identify size, perhaps.
Love this Bosch attachment. Have used it for zucchini and carrots and both came out perfectly. Makes a great carb reducing alternative to spaghetti. I would recommend it.
Cuts and slices as described
After getting a new Bosch mixer for Christmas, I was disappointed to find that the company no longer makes the well designed slicer/shredder that works so well on my 40+ year old Bosch we use at our cabin. I ordered the L'Chef one anyway and promptly broke the cheap plastic spindle. But I had given away the Kitchen Aid mixer I always struggled to use after getting it as a gift 8 years ago and my son-in-law managed to catch enough zucchini in a big bowl under my old Kitchen Aid spiralizer to make a great dinner. So I ordered the L'Chef spiralizer and discovered that it will slice and shred my pizza toppings almost as well as the old Bosch slicer/shredder. For anyone thinking about getting the L'Chef slicer/shredder, I would recommend the spiralizer instead, at least until or unless Bosch starts making their shredder/slicer again or L'Chef is willing to copy the original Bosch design that didn't need any plastic spindles.
Excellent product, glad I got it!
Very happy with the spiralizer. Over the years I've purchased a number of slicer/spiralizers, this by far is the easiest. Since I recently purchased it I've been spiralizing everything. Easy to clean with minimal parts, no sliced fingers and no vegetable juice all-lover the counter. Makes very even slices/ spirals that are thin and not mashed. I want to try it with other foods to see how it works.
I have used the spiralizer once, so far, and it was really no learning curve at all! Zucchini noodles, quickly cooked in olive oil and garlic and tossed with pesto sauce--NO LEFTOVERS! Looking forward to low carb pasta and using all of our prolific zucchini!
