Stubborn lids are no match for this smartly designed new Kuhn Rikon gadget. A quick turn of the top knob brings three sets of tenaciously-gripping steel teeth to bear on the edges of the lid. Then the long comfortable handle provides ample leverage to easily remove even the tightest lids. Overall length is 9.5"; works on threaded lids from 1" to 3.5" diameter.

Works really easily - no wrestling involved as I've had to do with the other ones. I've tried several. More control than my old Gilhooli Jr. regarding the pressure on the lids, so I'm not damaging lids.

Still a little hard to use with my hands. Due to age, it is getting hard to open jars and this helps, but it some times doesn't work as well as I would like.
