Butter Bell, White Raised Floral
The white raised floral Butter Bell® Crock is a simple but sophisticated piece designed to work with any tableware or kitchen decor. Decorated with a delicate raised floral pattern, this classic Butter Bell crock is part of the Signature Line of Butter Bells from manufacturer L. Tremain. Measures 4" tall x 4" wide, holds a full stick (1/2 cup) of butter. Features the word "Butter" on one side and "Beurre" (French for butter) on the other side.
Butter left open on the countertop won't keep long... and when refrigerated it tears nasty holes in your bread. Happily, there's a third way—the Butter Bell® butter keeper. What butter needs to remain fresh isn't cold temperature, but protection from the oxygen in air. Using a forgotten, centuries-old technique, the Butter Bell keeps your butter soft and fresh right on the counter for up to a month!
Just pour an inch of water in the base, pack the porcelain ceramic butter crock with butter, and invert it in the base. The water seals out air, keeping your butter soft, sweet & fresh for up to 30 days. If you're anything like us, you might be thinking something along the lines of "Fresh butter on the counter... for weeks... oh sure..." Yep, we were skeptical too. But we tried it... and it works wonderfully!

I am pleased with this item. it is a very good thick piece of pottery and so far has preformed well. The delivery was speedy, it was packed well for no breakage, and I am pleased with the visual also.
Not only does the Butter Keeper Crock add charm to our table, but invariably dinner guests talk about its pleasing appearance and its unique design enabling us to have soft butter on our table all the time. We like breads of all kinds and having soft butter to spread on them simply adds to our enjoyment. Great idea - great gift.
The butter bell is the answer to always having softened butter at the ready. Everyone in my family loves using the butter bell for our toast, pancakes, and cooking. Guests that have never used it before are intrigued at how the butter stays without falling out! By the end of the meal, they are jotting down your website to order one of their own. I have purchased several of the raised floral bells as they are just so lovely and they make such an interesting as well as practical gift.
I've used the "bell" for years but broke it the other day while washing it. Love it! Never put my butter in anything else.

The Butter Bell works great. We had been keeping the butter in a dish. When the temperature is cold the butter was cold. The Butter Bell keeps it at a very usable temperature.
