Bought them as backup blades

Keep spare blades handy

When it comes time for new sharp blades consider some of the other products from Pleasant Hill Grain to make a shipping minimum to avoid freight charges. The blades are very reasonably priced and a good idea to have on hand in the midst of pressing season.

Bought the replacement blades with the apple/pear grinder. Nice solid blades. Grinder works great! Suggest that the stainless feed hopper cone could be improved by attaching to the INSIDE of the lower feed duct. This would stop liquid leakage when adding fruit and aid later cleanup. Likewise spot welds around the blade mount area would benefit from a continuous bead to stop leakage. Well constructed grinder otherwise and chops apples at industrial speeds!
