It is made of tough plastic that can really be used however you want to use it. The lid is a must. Mine generally gets used daily and is washed in the dishwasher. Highly recommend it.

I bought this pitcher for my cousin; I actually have two of them. It's a wonderful Bamix accessory--very tough material that cheerfully takes being knocked about. Thank goodness there's finally an optional cover available--it was all that was missing to make it totally functional. No need to worry about refrigerator odors.

Item was packed well, no issues that would cause damage. Sold at a great price with reasonable shipping terms. I got the 1000ml pitcher and also the lid which is well worth getting if you plan on purchasing the pitcher. I own a Bamix and use it quite often. This pitcher is useful to use with the Bamix for larger batches but can also be used for many other uses although not a long term storage container, it is great to use for other tasks, like preparation of ingredients that can be put in the frig until ready to start cooking later in the day.

I was able to buy your advanced set of hand blender at a reduced price and purchased some accessories to make a complete set. I have a vita-mix blender that I use for smoothies and other drinks. I plan to use your blender to make smaller amounts. I saw your blender at a fair and have always been impressed with what it can do. I use this more than any other container with my bamix. It gets used a minimum of three times a day.

The diameter is perfect for blending with the immersion blender.
