Nesco FD-75PR Dehydrator
The FD-75PR American Harvest/Nesco dehydrator comes with 5 trays, each .9 sq. foot, expandable to 12 trays for nearly 11 square feet of food drying area. The FD-75PR's combination of a large, quiet fan and 600 watt heater lets you dry food gently in hours instead of days. Temperature is adjustable between 95° and 160° F. Air pressure adjusts automatically to number of trays used. Measures 13.5" dia. x 10.25" high (with five trays.) The FD-75PR comes in a new "Marbled Gray" finish (white with gray flecks.)
Top-Mounted Fan & Heater: Ideal for drying wetter foods, the top-mounted design prevents liquids from ever dripping into the motor or heater. Makes cleanup easy!
Patented Converga-Flow™ Design: The American Harvest FD-75PR dehydrator's double outside wall design provides fresh air equally to every tray, eliminating tray rotation and flavor-sharing. Opaque Vita-Save Exterior blocks light, preserving all the nutrients in your foods.

These trays fit American Harvest/Nesco dehydrators which have model numbers FD-60, FD-61, FD-75A. FD-75PR, and FD-79, and other American Harvest/Nesco dehydrators that have an outside diameter of 13.5 inches.

Also called "Clean-A-Screen" these fit Snackmaster dehydrators which have model numbers FD-20, FD-27, FD-30, FD-35, FD-40, FD-50 or FD-60 and outside diameter of 13.5 inches. Mesh sheets are flexible poly material. Using them on top of the regular trays makes cleanup quicker and easier. Also, the mesh sheets have very small holes which makes them useful for drying berries or food that's been cut in small pieces. Mesh sheets are not included with tray sets. Sold in sets of two.
Outside diameter is 12.5 inches and the diameter of the inside hole is 3 inches.

These fruit leather trays are compatible with Snackmaskter dehydrators with a diameter of 13.4 inches, including the following models: FD-20, FD-27, FD-30, FD-35, FD-40, FD-50 or FD-60. They are made of solid poly material and have upturned edges so you can pour liquidy material on them without dripping. These are not included with tray sets. Sold in sets of two.

Looked for some time and after evaluating all the pros and cons ended up with this one, glad we did. This unit cost a little more than most but it works like a champ and with the top heating unit, it's easy to clean. We made persimmons, apples, pears, and even a few grapes. So far everything we've made came out perfect and took about as much time as was suggested in the book. The top heating unit with the fan works great and you don't have to rotate the trays, maybe just once depending what your doing. Looking forward to doing some jerky.
Good product, does exactly what it is advertised to do. Very quiet and easy to clean.
Works great with additional mesh sets
Bought this basically to make jerky. I have run 3 batches through and it does just what it is supposed to do.
Easy to clean. Nice to have the power unit on top. We followed the cleaning instructions they provide. Soak in soapy water and spray off is the short version.
Pleasant Hill Grain is very easy to deal with as well. Real people on the phone in Nebraska.
This is my first dehydrator. I probably don't need one this big, but didn't know what to expect. I've only tried sweet potato "chips". It does the job, for sure!
Bought this dehydrator specifically to dry my very special Carolina Reaper Super Hot peppers. I want control over the temperature, and a unit with a fan. This is perfect! I will have seeds and powder very soon!
I've only used it once, but works great so far.
After my old dehydrator broke down I ordered a new one from a huge on-line retailer. When it arrived the box appeared to have been opened and the dehydrator repacked. Unfortunately it didn't work so I returned it. After an on-line search I chose this dehydrator and am very pleased with it. So far I have used it to dry fruit. It is a nice compact dryer perfect for family use. I am equally pleased with the service I received from Pleasant Hill Grain. I recommend this dehydrator and Pleasant Hill Grain.
Second one I have bought. First one worked so well for my son, my oldest son wanted one. Great for jerky and many other recipes. Easy to clean!
This was purchased as a gift for my daughter. Thus far they have used it only once so I am not sure of extended performance. They dried 5 large apples, sliced using 5 trays. We live in Central Texas -- not exactly a dry climate - and the apples dried in about 9 hours. The drying time compares well to my Excalibur. The dryer size is just right for limited counter space, however, it is unlikely to fit in most dishwashers unless those trays are the only thing in the washer and you and lay the trays over. Even on the bottom, they get in the way of the spray bar of the dishwasher. They are looking forward to trying the dehydrator with other foods and recipes. Next up: Strawberry leather.
