Country Estate Wine Press
Our Country Estate wine produces high juice yields from your apples, grapes, pears and other fruit. Its strong steel handle creates high pressing force with low effort, and it's built strong for years of enjoyable and reliable service.
The ratchet head on the Country Estate wine press travels on a stationary, center-mounted screw. The square base with a heavy duty leg at each of the four corners provides exceptional stability for steady pressing.
To load the press, start by lining the pressing basket with a mesh liner bag (not included; available below). Fill the lined basket with pulped apples, grapes or other fruit. Lap the bag top across the top of the fruit, and place the split pressing plate halves on top of the fruit. Place alternating pairs of hardwood blocks over the pressing plate, and spin the ratchet head down onto the blocks. Begin ratcheting downward to press juice from your fruit.
When juice flow becomes negligible, the pressing cycle is done. After reversing the two ratchet directional pins on top of the ratchet head, continued ratcheting will move the head back up the shaft. Empty and reload the basket, and you're ready for another batch!
The juice pan of the Country Estate wine press is made of stainless steel, and powder coating of steel parts ensures a lasting finish.
The wood parts of the Country Estate wine press arrive pre-sealed. For future maintenance, we have an excellent coating product available below.

My order arrived as promised I believe it was on the third day after I ordered it. PHG had an issue with my billing address and called numerous times trying to get ahold of me to iron out the details I was very surprised but pleased with their dedication to getting my order delivered. Thank you again. I had ordered the press after purchasing 100 lbs of Marechal Foch grapes since then I have pressed the young wine and extracted the juice/wine. During the pressing process I did not have any issues with the press. I did order food grade grease when I purchased the press, before using the press i applied a moderate amount to the acme screw as well on any contacting metal surfaces. Since the ratchet is painted it does have a small amount of paint that will flake off during the first use, the grease that I applied contained all of it and I simply wiped it off after. This is the first fruit press I ever used and overall it was easy and fun. A things to note the assembly time took me about 5 minutes, it took me longer to get tools out of my shed. Also you will need a wrench or pliers that can open to about 1-3/16". I made a slight modification to my press, I added a piece of 1 inch I. D. flexible tubing with a S. S. hose clamp, in case you don't have bucket that will fit under the spout. I placed my press on my porch with a sheet of plywood screwed to the legs and ran the 1in tubing into a pail down below. Worked well and clean up was less than 10 mins.
Thanks
I was surprised how fast I received my order. Even more surprised after assembling the unit to see the quality and workmanship in the finished product. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend your company to all my friends. I can't wait for the fruit to ripen so it can be used.
All in all the construction and price of this is top notch. However, my only complaint is the handle. This handle has notches on both ends that are clearly setup to lock into the ratcheting mechanism and you can see on other models there is something to lock it. However, this model does NOT has any way to lock the handle into the ratcheting mechanism. This makes it far easier for the handle to fall out or slide out. It's got some weight to it so it might just smash a toe if you're not careful. Otherwise it would get 5 stars.
Completely satisfied with our order. Would buy again. As advertised. Makes perfect apple cider.
Nicely packaged, high quality product that was easy to assemble with the provided instructions. I look forward to using this apple cider press.
The press is well built, but the design could be better. Using the polyester strainer bag requires cutting a slit in the bottom center of the bag and threading over the grease covered acme threaded shaft. Removal of pressed pulp is equally cumbersome. My lack of foresight allowed me to make a mistake in purchasing the wrong style press.
Order came fast and well packaged. Nice product. Assembly instructions would have been nice. Hand cranking was a bit too slow for my taste, so i ended up rigging a hydraulic jack that is much faster and powerful. Disappointed in my self for not just buying a pressing basket. Used it for pressing Aronia berries and it makes great tasting cider. It isn't yielding a lot of juice, but i have no experience with other juicing methods.
Spectacular, the product came quickly and on time. It was perfectly wrapped and easy to assemble. I’m very happy with it and can’t wait for my first batch of wine grapes this fall.
