Originally, the company name was spelled “Uuni” but as the company grew Kristian and Darina realized that the name presented challenges; many customers didn't know how to pronounce or spell it! In an effort to provide clarity, they changed the spelling from “Uuni” to “Ooni” in 2018. The pronunciation remained the same, “oo-nee”. They’re transitioning their products from the old spelling to the new spelling, so you’ll continue to see the “Uuni” spelling on some products until they finish the rebranding process.
The Stone Ovens
Their newest model, the Ooni Pro, features a 15mm thick cordierite stone that measures 17.7" wide x 17.7" deep, providing the space to cook pizzas up to 16” in diameter. The 6.5” front opening accommodates artisan breads in addition to pizza, and roaster pans of vegetables, meat and fish. A propane gas burner and pellet burner are available for the Ooni Pro.
Cooking outdoors with gas has never been easier than with the Ooni Koda. Firing it up is as simple as turning a dial, and cooking with gas means zero smoke and soot, and the easiest maintenance imaginable. Make Neapolitan-style pizza, roasted fish, vegetables, and steak all on the 10mm cordierite baking stone with a surface measuring 13.2" x 13.2".
The Uuni 3 offers smaller, lighter wood-fired cooking, and still provides the perfect cooking condition for the finest pizza! The 10mm thick cordierite stone is large enough to accommodate pizzas up to 12" diameter. The Uuni 3 comes standard with a pellet burner and an optional gas burner is available.
